Genius level IQ
I would love to meet the person that invented this. Such an amazingly simple device that makes life so less frustrating. You rarely see things like this anymore. With all the tech and fancy things people have, we forget the importance and criticality of simple tools. This things holds anything down. I had my ford fusion packed like sandford and sons headin down the road like the beverley hillbilly’s and three of these things didnt budge. 70 mph for 8 hours and nothing. I cant say enough except that they should make an even bigger one than the xt large. But im sure im not the first person to ask this. Thanks.... Oh side note, i do tie a cinch knot to make certain that the rope doesnt slip out sideways. Nite eze says it isn’t necessary but im paranoid like that... lol
Question
I was wondering if the tensioner would be suitable as for a paracord guy wire system on a 40 foot telescopic mast for a ham radio antenna weighing about 3 pounds. The tie area will be on every 10 foot section of the mast tired to 4 stakes. Approx 30 feet from the mast every 90 degrees. That makes 16 lines and tensioners I purchased a bunch of 550 paracord recently Not much at making knots. The system is lowered to 10 feet height when not in use and/or can be tilted over. Thanks

Good quality , did change the rope from paracord to 6mm static climbing
Works great!
Recommend that you ignore the low reviews. One reviewer complained that it would not hold their 3/8" rope. It is clearly indicated that this cam takes between 2 mm and 5 mm cord. 3/8" rope is over 9 mm in diameter! Regarding a prior review and the Nite Ize response, although aluminium does not rust, it does corrode, but very, very slowly and eventually I suppose can cause discoloration. This is not something you need to be concerned about; it should not affect the functioning of the cam even when exposed to rain. If you live so long that aluminum corrosion does become a problem, you'll be blowing out a whole lot of birthday candles. Your cord should be the right diameter and have a little texture for grip. I use paracord 550 for a tarp ridgeline and 1500 paracord when hanging a hammock; I like a big safety margin.
If you use rope or paracord you need this product.
The CamJam XT is an overall quality product. It is well made of what appears to be high grade aluminum. The fixtures are tight and the jam function is smooth and easy to load/unload. I'm using four strand paracord and two of the smaller CamJam XT to guy an amateur radio NVIS antenna at a height of about 10 meters. The antenna and CamJam's survived Tropical Storm Isaias. I'm pleased with my purchase and highly recommend the product.
Well what took me so long to try this?
I have no idea what took me so long to try this out. It has been in my 'tinker' box on many camping trips and I just never used it. It was in there when I was camping this weekend and I looked at it and thought "Hmm, I wonder if I tried this it could help with my saggy tarp over the picnic table?" Its rained for days and my tarp just kept sagging. VOILA! I replaced a bungee and unknotted my paracord and slipped the biner part through my tarp grommet and put the paracord through the camjam and 'zip!' up went my tarp with just a tug on the paracord and no more sag at all! It was so easy! I'm buying 3 more to put in my camp bin with my bungees and tarp lines/paracord. You just knocked off a half hour of struggling to remember my knots and getting them tied each time! Thanks! Got any coupons? LOL! Next time I go camping I'll mention the product in a youtube video! This product really made me happy!
Really Nice
Excellent for hammocks or for securing loads for transport. Anything that I use para cord for without the all of the knots, makes, making adjustments extremely fast and extremely easy. If you use paracord for camping, hunting, hiking... this item's uses are as boundless as your imagination.
