Hearty and Easy Meal
This is one of my favorite Mountain House meals. The tiny pasta bits mixed in with the chicken and vegetables makes for a delicious and satisfying dinner, just make sure to let it cook long enough otherwise the dehydrated chicken will be a little hard. My wife and I actually made this for dinner one night as part of a backyard camp out- it was her first Mountain House meal and she loved it too!
Delicious! Truly enjoyed this meal
This was my favorite of four different meals. It was really delicious! As soon as I poured the hot water in and smelled it I knew it was going to be great. Everyone in camp was jealous. Even my 11 year old daughter loved it and stole it from me to eat about 1/2 a serving after she'd already finished her own spaghetti dinner. She's a very picky eater so that was high praise.
just like my mom used to make
This reminds me of a casserole my mom used to make. I did bring some freeze dried peas to add and it was great.
Delish!
Ate this after backpacking a hilly 12 miles with a 40 lb pack, and it was delicious! Creamy with bits of veggies - YUM! Literally the only thing that would make it better is if it the portion was just a little bit bigger (50-100 calories more would be great!) because I was so hungry!
Taste like homemade!!
We wanted easy food prep for a recent kayak camping trip and chose a number of high rated dehydrated dinners for a treat (treat: I did not have to spend my fun vaca time messing about making dinner over a jetboil or fire when I could be chilling or paddling!) and Chick Noodle Casserole was one we chose! Verdict: A treat to prepare and eat! Delicious! Homemade tasting! Wish it were a little more generous in portions but just add some veg (we had cut up carrots) or some baguette on the side. Highly recommend!
D A M N. tasty!
This tastes so good and homey- like grandma made it. I used 50 ml less water than called for to prevent a super soupy dinner. 10/10
The best
A friend had given me a couple of pouches several years ago. Then I found a new job, pack my house and move. While packing I found the pouches which came in handy since everything was packed up. I was hooked. The chicken casserole is my fav but beef stroganoff, beef stew are my go to. I travel alot and with the pandemic these were a life saver. Just for comparison, I bought some other"survivor" pouches. Read the ingredients and holy cow!....preservatives galore! Mountain House is the best. I've got my stash ready!
Surprisingly good
Bought each one of many meals for an extended outdoor adventure and was surprised by how good these are and did not cause any stomach issues.
Surprisingly delicious
This has become our favorite of the freeze dried camp foods- we bring along whatever FD veg we have to liven it up, celery and mushrooms adds a real nice flavor. I do add a little bit more water than called for, and try to give it twice as much cook time, with a few extra squeeze stirs, to make sure the chicken hydrates well. Other than that, downright delicious.
So way to make. Tastes homemade!
This is delicious. If you add a little extra water it’s such a nice hardy chicken noodle soup. Stir it up well so that everything rehydrates. I buy these and eat these at school. I teach so it’s an easy way to make a meal that just requires how water. I can store it in my classroom until I retire. This is only one of Mountain Houses amazing options.
