Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quarter Dome T2 Plus-a great tent! The tent has great venilation, great to view the stars at night, and easy to set up. Because of the asymmetrical design, the right swirling wind gust can cause it to sit down so it's best to keep the front/rear pointed towards the strongest winds. Lightweight and perfect for backpacking for two people who enjoy stretch out space, I recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of interior room Interior space is great for a 2-person tent, it's lightweight and easy to setup. I'm a belly sleeper so I use more length sleeping than I am tall and the plus size of the tent keeps my bag away from the tent walls and getting damp from condensation from the fly. The only issue I encountered was the low exit with the fly on - too short for my tastes and current condition (60+ years - 5'10" - 240 lbs.) as I had to crawl out on my hands and knees. Between the morning dew and the condensation inside the fly, it was a wet exit. Please don't think that condensation is any more of an issue with this tent than with any other tent - it's just that when and where I've used the tent, everything was very wet in the morning and every breath caused visible condensation in the air in moderate temps (low 50's?). The inside of the tent was dry, the inside of the fly would drip if bumped, and the outside was so wet you would have thought that it'd rained. For the current closeout price, it is more than worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best backpacking tents This is definitely one of the top backpacking tents on the market today. It competes against the big names out there like Big Agnes, Sierra Designs, the North Face and Alps Mountaineering. For the money I think it beats them all except Alps. (You can find killer deals on Alps.) It is extremely lightweight and compresses quite a bit. It doesn't come with a compression sack but you can kind of manipulate the bag it comes with to make a small package with the poles removed. It takes a few tries to get used to the pole configuration. It uses a unique interconnected three pole design. The end result is a rectangular interior which provides a lot more room than you would expect from a backpacking tent. I haven't used this in cold weather yet but I would imagine you would need a few extra degrees from your sleeping bag since they use so much mesh to keep the weight down. The only downside is they could have made the fly a bit larger for more storage space. Overall I am extremely pleased with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had this tent 4 years and bought another I have used this tent for years for every backpacking trip from the hills of Malibu, to Yosemite, Sequoia, and northeastern New Mexico for 2 day car camping to 12 day backpacking trips. I have used it in rain, snow, fog, and dust. After dozens of trips it has NO signs of wear or use. This tent is so easy to use with matching pole colors to the rain fly, tent, and footprint grommet tabs so I can set it up in the dark, by myself, in under 5 minutes. It has mesh corner and ceiling pouches, top vents, reflective corners, etc. This is the best tent in this weight class that I can find so I just bought another one since it went on sale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tent I've ever had I bought a quarter dome back in ought 4 and finally decided to write a review. It is lightweight and easy to set up, durable, and dependable. It served me well through my years of wildlife bio seasonal work (read: I literally lived out of this thing for 5-7 months/yr) in the Sierra, Gila NF, N Rockies and Oly Pen. And it STILL serves me well on trips up Mt Shuksan, Adams, the N Cascades, or trekking through the Olys. The only thing I have done for it is reapply waterproofing to the fly two years ago. The downsides are that the height is not great, which can make it a pain to get out when the rainfly is on, and it tended to get some condensation during very intense windy rain. However, these never bothered me too much, which is why I am rounding up my 4.6 stars to a 5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from proceed with caution "unique" pole design looks suspect from a durability perspective. Will likely need to baby this tent to get good mileage

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too complicated I bought this and tried to set it up. It's too complicated for a a simple dome tent. I guess all the complication makes it look fancy though. The design looks fragile. I took it back for a full refund.
