    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

    • There are no manual adjustments needed, simply shift gears as you would when riding outside to increase or decrease the resistance, and the faster you pedal the harder it gets
    • Spin along with virtually no resistance or hammer out a 2000-watt sprint—you will never outgrow this trainer no matter what training you require
    • With a quick load cam lever, you simply adjust the resistance once and then lock it into place so there is no guessing each time you put your bike on the trainer
    • Combine this with a smooth, quiet ride, locking bolt ring and heavy-duty steel construction, and you're ready to sprint, spin and climb with confidence
    • The Cyclops Fluid2 bike trainer features adjustable foot pads, a quick release handle, self-cooling mechanism and folding legs for storage
    • Updated frame works with all standard wheels and now works with 29er mountain bike wheels (fits most treads to 2.25 in.)

by fromReally enjoying this trainer I am a "re-entry" rider, and I'm trying to increase my general fitness level, as well as get ahead for summer riding. This is my first trainer, so I didn't know exactly what to expect. I borrowed the same, but older, model from a friend to try it out first. I wanted a quiet one, and this is quiet. I'm also pleased with the ease of set-up and how stable it is. It's nice to see that CycleOps has made continual improvements over the years, too. For example, the clutch knob really helps get the right pressure on the tire. Initial concern, which is gone: In my first couple of rides, I felt like the resistance was not going to be enough, and I was afraid I would outgrow this trainer. I am not a strong rider, so this really was a surprise that I could still pedal with a quick cadence in top gear. I also want to be able to simulate standing hill climbs, and I tended to pedal to strong for the resistance. I contacted CycleOps support and spoke with someone there that explained the trainer needs a few minutes to warm up. I've used the trainer for several 10-mile "rides" since then, I am getting the hang of it. After about 5-7 minutes, the fluid warms up and provides more resistance, and after 35 minutes, I feel like I've gotten a good workout.

by frompretty nice - better than jet fluid pro I use this alongside a jet fluid pro (a few years older) set up side by side on nearly identical bikes. If I had to chose between the two I would go with the Fluid2 because it is far more easily set up and adjusted. Other than that I have not complaints.

by fromNice Trainer This is a nice trainer. My wife & I use this as an exercise machine after knee surgery. We have hybrid-bikes with wider tires. It works well for this purpose although it is a little difficult to mount and dismount due to the bike's height when mounted on the trainer. My only compliant is the assembly instructions which come with the bike. They are simply awful although there is video available to supplement what comes with the trainer.

by fromGood quality Bought this for my wife to use during the cold months. Easy to set up, and seems well-built durable so far. Our first trainer, but the fluid models seem to have a less jerky motion than the magnetic models when starting to spin up. A bit expensive, but well worth the cost if it holds up for several years as we hope.

by fromGreat winter trainer I bought this for snow-season training, and for rehabilitation from a broken leg during ski season. Easy to assemble and use, and quite stable.

by fromIdeal trainer for steady indoor miles! In all, the Fluid 2 is a great turbo trainer. I wouldn't suggest it to improve power sprints, but for steady indoor miles it is ideal. Sturdy design, fold out legs, lots of weight to keep it down, easy to use but well held clamping. Fluid resistance provides a very natural and smooth feel. The price is hard to swallow but my original Fluid is four years old and still seems to have plenty of life in it so you should get years of use out of it.
