by fromBe ready to lose. Poor quality band Defective wrist band. DO NOT BUY until they fix the band. Third time it popped off my wrist I lost it for good. This has happened to many and Fitbit does not seem to get it. Stay away! It is very difficukt to put on and flies off very easily if not put on exactly right, which is hard to do. Someone did not test a working model.

by fromI really wanted to love this At first, my husband I really loved this product. We each purchased one, and had a great time using it. From the beginning, though, I found it very challenging to get the wrist band to stay on, and this created obvious problems for a product meant to be used with activity. It was very prone to falling off at the most inopportune times (while walking, any time I removed a layer of clothing, in the bathroom, etc), but I liked what the product was doing so much I dealt with it. After about one month, I noticed the time was often inaccurate until I synched with the on-line app. After about two months, my husband and I both noticed our wrist bands were not holding a charge for more than 48 hours (down from only needing to be charged weekly in the beginning). In addition, there were times when the display on each product simply didn't work and could not be called up. We sent them both back for a refund, which REI was great about. I'm going to miss having it because when it worked, it was great at encouraging motivation and accountability. I hope they get this kinks worked out but in the meantime, I'm going to try the Garmin product when it becomes available.

by fromWorks well for what I needed The Force is comfortable and easy to use. I got it for the sleep monitoring, and the extreme accuracy wasn't necessary. I have read all the reviews about inaccuracy, and I know this isn't a GPS/heart monitor, so I didn't expect perfection. The clasp is definitely sub-par, but the overall comfort is great. Very few watches fit me so well. If you just need a reminder to accentuate your goals, it's great. If you're an athlete or a strict trainer, splurge for a better watch. It fits the bill for inexpensive and helpful.

by fromgood product - terrible clasp design No locking clasp. Had to put on because you have to squeeze a finger between the band and your skin to pinch the clasp closed. No locking system so the band is easily popped off by simple actions like pulling a shirt or jacket cuff over it. Mine has fallen off multiple times. Had to put a hair elastic around the band to act as a keeper to avoid this problem. Also, when I use a stair climber the band does not register any stairs climbed. Go figure. Best part is the pedometer feature.

by fromFitbit Force for Christmas from my Dad Calories burned shows 400+ before I have done anything to burn any calories. Wrist Band is terrible. I've put it on and several times found it hours later on the floor somewhere. Thank gosh I haven't lost it anywhere. I love the food intake measurements, it's simple to use and it gives me a pretty close count where I'm at for the day. I like setting goals in there and then getting congratulations emails when I've met the goals.

by fromGreat, but not an ideal product Disclosure: I'm writing this for my spouse, as I have used the Fit One now approaching two years (everything from backpacking in slot canyons to working out to skiing and to riding for brewskies). Although my wife works out, she pursues none of the other activities, but wears the Force daily, including the city and county trails we walk. The Fit Force does a very acceptable job in all categories but one, which others have repeatedly described as the quintessential model of ineffectiveness. The bracelet clasp approaches hopelessness as an object that will remain clasped. Merely catching it on your sleeve often causes the clasp to release - - - an alternative to designing a clasp that actually does what it is supposed to do, a "safety chain or connection" as used on many bracelets is needed. With that said, the Fit Force otherwise does what it is designed to do and so far, even though my steps differ than my wife's because of our height, the distance in miles we walk comes out nearly equal and very close to the distance my handheld GPS shows. She loves it and compares results with friends. It has turned out motivating her to become more active, especially during these winter days!
