Rated4out of5byfromGood All Purpose ShoesAfter one month, generally happy with these shoes. Haven't put them to the true test but have been walking regularly in them. Seem stable with good traction. Can't comment on trail conditions as haven't been able to try them in that environment. Will be using them for cycling and walking in Europe this fall.

Rated4out of5byfromI' a fanUnlike another reviewer, I have low arches. I found the shoe very comfortable for trail runs. It has great traction on the dirt(mud) and tree rooted trails I run at the nearby State Park. Wet rocks can be slippery, as can the moss covered bridges when they're damp, but I've found that to be true of all the shoes I've used thus far. I do agree the lacing system can be challenging to get just right and sometimes find myself having to stop and loosen them a little after I've been running for 10 or 15 minutes. The shoe has also held up well for me. I'm only doing a few miles a week through the woods and the occassional "Mud" events. So far the tread is still intact and there have been no obvious failings in the way the shoe was put together (stitches, seems, etc).

Rated2out of5byfromNot for wide feetThe green is terribly ugly and it's too tight for medium wide feet. The way it's designed also doesn't allow for it loosening while wearing. It has a black plastic band built into the shoe that straps across the top of the midfoot to cause this.

Rated2out of5byfromMeeehBought for doing the JMT. Good cushion on the bottom. Took 1 pre-trip trail run in them, and they hurt the tops of my feet. In order to get a fit secure enough for running, you've got to pull the quick-lace system relatively tight. However, given the thinness of the laces, it puts a lot of concentrated pressure on the top of my foot, which I felt through the toungue padding. After about 6 miles this caused sharp enough pain that I felt it two days later when doing a casual walk in the shoes. I have tall arches however, so results may vary. Also, sole has an unsupported cutout section in the back, which looks like it might fall apart or become detached quicker than the rest of the shoe. Hard to say for sure. Otherwise, good looking, confortable, not too hot to run in. But not for tall arched people, I would say.

Rated4out of5byfromBetter than expected! At first it felt a bit uncomfortable and stiff. I also thought it wouldn't hold on the trail and it would slip, but once I got to the trail it really surprised me! It felt very good and stable. It did not slip on the rocks, I usually go to waterfalls and use my five fingers on the rocks.
