Rated5out of5byfromComfortable and lightweightI am a side sleeper and need a sleeping pad that provides enough comfort and support. This sleeping pad packs down small and the side rails provide enough of a bumper to prevent you from rolling off your pad onto the hard ground or into the person you're sharing your tent with. Overall, this is a great sleeping pad!

Rated4out of5byfromcomfy and great for campingI like the air rails on this pad, they keep me from sliding off in the middle of the night. I only gave it four stars, though, because it does not easily self-inflate, it only gets part-way there despite the fact that I have always been careful to store it properly. Otherwise, very comfortable.

Rated4out of5byfromGood support, small pack sizeI purchased two of these one for myself and my girlfriend. I've used similar pads from other companies, but wanted an inexpensive alternative that offered comfort and packability. When backpacking or shorter hikes/bandit camping I set up my tent first, open the valve on the AirRail, and allow it to fill up as I set up the rest of camp. Before I set up my bag for the night, I add several quick breaths of air to make it a little more firm. Though it's self-inflating it will require a few puffs to fill up, which should be expected. A great all around pad, with a foam pad under it, this works great as a 4-season option as well. I find it perfect for car camping and backpacking. The extra rails of air are strange, though, as they provide a sort of buffer from rolling off the pad. I don't really notice it, but at first it was strange to get used to.

Rated4out of5byfromA little too thin for this princessI've been using a Big Agnes Air Core Insulated pad, which finally gave in to multiple leaks. I tried this pad in the store, and it seemed to be comfortable and a bit more durable. However, after 3 different trips, this side-sleeper with bad hips found it to be just a tad too hard. I felt that the pressure on my shoulders kept putting my arms to sleep, and after much wiggling, it was impossible to avoid pressure on either my hips or IT band. It was also a bit more bulky than the Agnes, although not absurd. While not self-inflating, it only took about 30-40 puffs vs. approximately 150 for the Agnes. On the last trip, it got into the 30s overnight, and I didn't notice any cold radiating from below. It seems to be a decent pad for someone who's not such a princess.

Rated5out of5byfromWarm n comfyI threw the AirRail under my bed sheet for a quick test. It made my bed much warmer, and the air-rail component was like being in a bed with a rail. I enjoyed the sensation of having that little 'extra' that gave me a sense of staying centered on the pad and served to keep me from sliding off-sides. Rolling it up was fairly easy, and the buckle strap helped cinch it nicely.

Rated5out of5byfromAwesome Sleeping Pad!After giving a few different pads a test drive, my girlfriend really liked this the best. It's maiden trip was Camp Muir on Mt Rainier. We were fortunate to get a bunk in he shelter up there granted, but on flat hard plywood she, for once haha, had no problems with her hips or joints! It packs in well and its really easy to inflate. Def recommend this one!

Rated2out of5byfromInsulated comfort. Hard to rollIt was super comfortable and isolated well. I tend to get cold even in summer weather and I didn't feel any cold ground air with this pad. Air rail didn't do much. I didn't feel like it made a difference. I'm 5'3" and the length was just enough for me. Pretty color. I had a lot of problems rolling it. The air rail trapped air that was hard to get out. Since the rail and pad are different thickness when deflated, I felt like I needed 4 hands to roll it. Two to old the main pad area and another two to keep the rails rolled. I gave it another try by folding the rails onto the pad when rolling, but they slip and I had an equally hard time keeping the rail portion lined up. I returned and will be getting more traditional rectangular pad.

Rated5out of5byfromSlept like a rock on a rock in this.I have had many sleeping pads over the years. Usually they either do not offer enough padding (I tend to sleep on my side), deflate, don't keep me warm enough, or all of the above. I used this on a pack trip in Kings Canyon and was warm and comfortable all night, even when we were sleeping on granite and the temperatures dropped to the mid 30's. Highly recommend this product.
