These shoes were nice-looking and seemed well-made, but the tongues were very stiff and dug into my ankles. I had to return them.

Comments about Teva Raith WP Trail Shoes - Men's - 2011 Closeout:

I was trying to replace my previous pair of Teva Verdons. I'd gotten them before a trip to Australia and found them a joy to wear. But the time I got back to the states they'd be discontinued. So I went to replace them with a similar Teva... The first of the 2 stars is only because I like the Verdons (so Teva can make good shoes)... The second star is because the laces were good... they stay tied in cold weather. But from there it was down hill. The sole separated from the shoe within the first couple weeks. I thought, "well I can glue that" not really what one should be thinking about a new shoe... but I hate shopping, so it seemed reasonable. But then I realized the "spider" soles are more "slider" soles. On wet sidewalks they are just a bit slippery, one icy ground they are a death trap. I hate slippery shoes... that sense of being off balance... Maybe they are great on dry rocks... but for a waterproof shoe to not be able to walk on wet surfaces is infuriating. What is worse is they are too warm of a shoe to be a reasonable summer shoe. I'd say skip these guys and keep walking till you find a better pair.

Comments about Teva Raith WP Trail Shoes - Men's - 2011 Closeout:

I bought these becuase I needed something waterproof for everyday. I have to park about 1/4 mile from my office building and when it's raining my feet are soaked by the time I get to my desk. These shoes have kept my feet nice and dry all winter long. They also don't scream hiking shoe when I wear them around the office. My feet do tend to get a little hotter than I'd like on longer walks, but that is to be expected from a waterproof shoe.

Comments about Teva Raith WP Trail Shoes - Men's - 2011 Closeout:

I use it daily and for hiking. The build quality is high. I ordered exactly the size as my causal keen shoes. It turns out the length is correct but Teva is narrower and tight. I never have any blisters but all the parts of my feet got support which I am not that used to. It might just the way Teva designs it. I think if I order half or one full size larger it would make my toes have some room to move around. Since it is for hiking so the rubbers are stiffer, it can make noises when on the walk ways or when I need to run with the kids to school. It works very well to take the 32F temperature in the early morning. It's quite on the carpet when I am in the office :). I sometime feel very hot with this shoes in the office as well. I also need a hiking boots. I will try keen for the boots next time.

Excellent arch and side support while staying very comfortable. Did beautifully on a very muddy trail soon after purchase: good traction, feet dry as bones. Slight break-in required but feeling better all the time. I got these on clearance for about half the fairly expensive retail. If they're on sale, grab 'em!

The shoelace on the top eyelet is above the shoe.
The shoelace lands on my front ankle.
Solution: Avoid using the Top Eyelet.
