Rated2out of5byChristopherSfromNot the bestI received this pillow as a Christmas gift. I like the fact that it packs down small and light. I do not like that it slides around easily and it feels like you are sleeping on an inflatable kids toy. It hurts my shoulder and my neck. I messed with different amounts of air in it with no luck. When I get back, I plan to return it and purchase a different pillow.

Rated5out of5byJJC3fromGreat pillowI reluctantly purchased this pillow. I say reluctantly because I doubted the ability of a company to make a pillow that was functional, quality, comfortable, and light weight. While I'm not a gram counter, I don't like to carry unnecessary gear.
The first thing I notice when I opened the package from REI was the small size. It is about the size of your fist.
I inflated the pillow (about 4-5 average breaths) and the first night was disappointed because I could not get comfortable. About midnight, I deflated the pillow until it was about 60% full and that is the last thing I remember. It was a blissful night of comfort. Since then, I only inflate about 60-70% and look forward to bed time. I also like sleeping with the felt side down as the "slick" side is cool in the evenings.
The only down side to this pillow is that the stuff sack is marginally too small. However, if you just stuff it in instead of trying to fold it back up as it was shipped, the results are much better. Why is it so hard for manufacturers to make a reasonably sized stuff sack? Also, you can just leave it in your bag with your sleeping clothes and bag the entire lot so it is ready for the next night without opening multiple stuff sacs.
Buy it. You won't regret the purchase.

Rated5out of5byfishonwoopwoopfromA Must HaveBest pillow on the market! Compact and very easy to pack/unpack. A must have for travel. I felt like I was home. You can inflate it to your liking for travel or fully inflate it for camping. Large enough to feel like there's something there. Would not consider any other.

Rated2out of5byC CloughfromGood idea, not the best executionI have the smaller blue version of this pillow, and I took it with me recently on a multi-night Big Bend trip. I'm a restless side sleeper, and a pillow is necessary for me to sleep. I picked this one up on a whim while I was in REI some time ago, but hadn't used it.
It is too small for my preferences, but supplemented with some clothing folded under my pack was tall enough. It was too hard fully inflated, but at half deflation, it is very noisy. The noise is my primary complaint with it - it is *loud*. It's warm, and the cover is soft, but it sounds like a noisy plastic bag when I shifted positions.
I'll keep looking for a hood pillow. This one is probably going back.

Rated4out of5bycisoxfromGreat compact pillowI was getting pretty tired of sleeping in my hammock without a pillow.
I purchased the larger size of this pillow and ended up exchanging it in store for the smaller version. The pillow is pretty compact and blows up to a good size. It takes about three or four good blows to fill it up.
If you don't like air pillows, then you won't like this pillow. If you don't mind them, this one is great.

Rated4out of5bydrcarterfromQuality product but too hardThis is a great little pillow if you can stand firm/inflatable pillows. It is durable and well made, no holes or air loss after a year, and I like the feel of the soft felt side as well as the slicker green side. I have used it several times with various degrees of success/comfort, but it has never quite been comfortable enough the get any good sleep. This last trip it was deflated halfway and I still felt like I was sleeping on a rock.
The pillow is a nice size for camping especially at the weight and it packs down well, easily fitting into its stuff sack. Just not for me. But to be fair I didn't buy a SleepNumber bed because I felt the mattress never got soft enough even at a 10 - which is the lowest number possible at my weight.

Rated5out of5byWishoffnerfromBackpacking pillowJust returned from two backpacking trips to the Beartooth Mountains and Isle Royale. Added the pillow as a present to myself. Much better than the balled up sweatshirt in my sleeping bag case pillow. Can adjust firmness easily during the night. Packs into my sleeping bag case. No complaints. Seemed like an extravagance but was worth the expense.

Rated5out of5byon lifefromGreat camping and travel pillowI have tried several types of travel and/or camping pillows and even though they may help and serve others, they didn't help me in any way. I like that this pillow is easily packable, light weight, supportive, and has 2 different toppings. I own 3 of these pillows from the same manufacturer and highly recommend any of them.
