        I'm hard on gear because of the type of terrain I ride. These shoes would be good for a rider new to clip-less pedals. They release easily when pedals are adjusted properly. Not as comfortable as I had hoped but they are an entry level shoe. I recommend for recreational/weekend rider or someone just starting into mountain biking.
