      Got this duffel for a trip to Nepal later this year. It's sturdy construction, light weight and capacity should make it an ideal gear hauler. The North Face Basecamp duffel would probably have been overkill in features, weight and cost for my needs so this Eagle Creek looks like an ideal compromise. The addition of a tough, water resistant coating on the "Flashpoint" version is an improvement over the previous "No Matter What" duffel. The (non-YKK) zippers slide smoothly and seem up to the task as do the materials and stitching. The "No Matter What" repair/replacemnt guarantee is there to back it up in the event of a problem, but I've never had an issue with Eagle Creek gear. My only minor gripe is the rather large EC logo, but other companies do the same thing.

      I purhased this after an extended business trip and needed an extra bag— it held an extraordinary amount of stuff, and was a better price (At the same quality) as the comparable North Face bag. Traveled well but when full it is quite heavy, but overall no complaints!

        I work out of town once in a while and need a bag like this for 3-4 night stays. This is just what I was looking for. It's also great for long weekend snowmobile trips or "up north" trips.

        Great bag. I bought this for an 8 day hiking trip in Europe. It's a big bag though, so a little awkward since I'm on the petite side. And someone stole my strap so it's a little tough to carry around now.
