The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated1out of5byThe wannabe runnerfromdisappointedI had high hopes of being able to track the distance of my walks. However, this watch is off by 15%. When i have walked a mile, it only logs .85 miles. I am returning this watch!

Rated5out of5byD McDonaldfromGreat running watch and EASY to operateI purchased this watch for my wife who used it when she runs. She recently ran a marathon with it and the batteries lasted the entire race (4:15 Hrs) and accurately reported the distance and average pace. The graphical dashboard that Garmin offers for free in conjunction to this watch easily allows users to keep track of past runs.
The watch itself is VERY easy to set up and allows users to modify the default face displays when tracking distance. My wife likes how it only takes one button to start and stop the watch and she also likes how she can quickly she where she's at in regards to mileage and pace. She also likes the weight and size, since she has small wrists.
Overall, I think this is a great watch and the price is not bad in regards to other brands.

Rated5out of5bypds668fromNice small GPSI've used other Garman GPS products and they have all been good but were much larger and bulkier than this one. This one doesn't have a lot of features but I didn't use most of the features on my old Garmin anyway. It gets the satelite quickly and works well for me.

Rated4out of5bycynleggefromAwesome!I bought this in efforts to motivate myself while running. This has indeed helped me achieve my goals by keeping me accountable. It is easy to use and it tracks my pace and laps. I wish I had the strap to keep track of heart rate, but it is not included in the package.

Rated4out of5byBean0202fromGood watch from a cycling perspectiveI bought this watch primarily for cycling. I chose a watch over a bike computer because I wanted the versatility to also use it for hiking and jogging. Having said that, I have had the watch for a couple weeks and only used it for cycling so far. In addition, I wanted a less expensive and smaller device. I have very small wrists and this is one of the smallest GPS watches on the market. I thought it was a bit bulky at first but quickly got used to it and bardly notice it anymore.
I have not had any problems with the watch. I get a signal quickly (usually in less than 10 seconds). Having said that, it seems that it works very similar to the GPS I used to have for my car. That is, if you start the watch at the same location as where you last stopped it, it finds the signal quickly. However, if your location is very different from your last use, it take a bit longer. During my rides, I have had no problems with loss of signal and my routes/mileage are all very accurate.
The screen is big and easy to read. For cycling, you can use to have the watch display "speed" instead of "pace." This is pretty much the only consideration the device has for cyclists. Other aspects (i.e. calories burned) are calculated as if you were running.
My biggest concern when I first bought it was that the battery life with GPS on is only 5 hours (one of the shortest on the market). However, I have done a 5.5 hour ride and not had the battery die, so I know that the battery does last at least its advertised length of time.
The screen is big and easy to read. There are a total of three screens you can toggle between. The firsts has the current time and date. The other two screens can each display two stats: distance, time elapsed, pace, or calories burned. It is fully customizable so you can have those elements in whichever combination you choose. The only complaint I have is that it forces you to choose one option for the "pace" category between current pace, average pace, current speed, and average speed. You can not, for example, have average speed on one screen, and current speed on another. You have to choose between which of these statistics you want to know during your workout.

Rated4out of5byJ PhillipsfromFool proof and reliableI use the Garmin mainly for running. It has great GPS service, and is very reliable. It has plenty of space to record runs, and has a fool proof interface. The only downside I can think of is that it doesn't sink with Nike+, but that isn't a problem with Garmin.

Rated5out of5byTravelbuggfromGreat Watch!I have had this for about 3 months now. Overall, this is a great watch. It is easy to use, picks up signal quickly and keeps the signal. I chose this watch b/c the price was good and the size was not ridiculously huge like the other GPS watches. My bf has the boy version and likes his watch as well. It syncs easily with Garmin Connect as well. This is a basic GPS watch, so I knew what I was getting when I bought it. It doesn't have as many of the fancy features of the more expensive watches, but it has the basic features that I need to track my runs - distance, pace, time. If I want to see my calories, mapping, etc. I can see that easily online after I upload the data to my comp. I hope this watch lasts a long time as I am very satisfied with it. I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for a basic GPS watch w/ easy to use features.
