    Patagonia Torrentshell Rain Jacket - Women'sis rated4.4286out of5by14.
Rated5out of5byfromGood, solid rain jacketThis jacket holds up well in rain and wind. I'm tall with long arms and the sleeve length was more than adequate. There are also several places to adjust fit, including the hood. Underarm zippered openings provide extra ventilation. The fit is not at all sloppy or boxy, and looks sharp for casual wear.

Rated5out of5byfromexcellentThis rainshell is perfectly sculpted to keep out the weather and provides every which adjustment so you can remain dry. I'm 5'5" 110lb and the small fits dashingly. The cut is very flattering for casual use, and the extra length is much appreciated for keeping all underlayers covered in especially inclement weather. Packs nicely into left pocket.

Rated4out of5byfromIts Patagonia, need I say more? This jacket has great length, fit, and movability. I am on the taller end, 6'1'', and was thrilled to find the sleeve, hood, and body length to be longer than other jackets. My only complaint was that its not very breathable. I was out hiking in the rain and had a difficult time keeping cool and comfortable. Its durable and dependable, and definitely worth a look.

Rated3out of5byfromUndersized rain jacketI will be returning this jacket, Size L, woman. A shell should be able to fit a sweater under the jacket, but the jacket is too tight across the chest. The jacket also curves in at the waist, so it may be a problem for body types that don't have curvature, or with a thick sweater. Nice long sleeve length will cover an average person's sweater sleeves, but if you have short arms it may be a problem. Vents under arms are not screened, but fully exposes clothing when zipped open. Nice jacket length to cover normal fleece or sweaters, but it's not going to cover your 'butt' for sitting on wet surfaces.

Rated1out of5byfromSizing is smallThis is my second size-medium H2NO rain jacket from Patagonia; the first one wore out. While I can't yet comment on the performance of the Torrentshell, I can say the sizing is off. The arms are Neanderthal-long and a long-sleeved t-shirt barely fits under it. I have been a size-medium in everything I wear for over thirty years and while the arms were too long in my first parka, they weren't this long. There is absolutely no room for layering and I had to return it for a size-large - now watch the arms be even longer! Otherwise, the styling is nice and the Butterfly Blue color is beautiful. While at this point I don't feel one star is fair, it's the only critique that fit. I'll post again once I've used it.

Rated5out of5byfromIdeal for rainy canoe trips!I wore this in the Boundary Waters, where we paddled in the rain. I stayed nice and dry and could easily stuff the jacket away when I didn't need it. Very comfortable - easy to add layers underneath for warmth, good protection from wind as well.

Rated5out of5byfromGreat Jacket - held up to mountain weathI bought this jacket because it looks good and I needed a jacket for a 3 day back country hike and my other jacket wasnt cutting it. This jacket was light weight and worked well when rain came down on the Rockies. When I hike, I wear my hair in a high and loose bun and the hood was made well enough to compensate for ladies who hike and put their long hair up. The length was nice and allowed rain water from my pack to transition to my legs instead of down my pants. The XS was a perfect fit (I am 5'1", 115 pounds, 34 chest.

Rated5out of5byfromDon't just stay dry, look good doing itI must run: rain or shine. This jacket allows me to splash through serious downpours and still enjoy myself.
