Rated5out of5bySBALfromLightweight, smooth and fastI am new to biking as I just learned over the summer since the family was biking and I did not wish to be left behind. So, I have nothing to compare my experience and this bike to. I purchased this bike based on a friend's recommendation and without trying it first. So far, I feel this is a perfect starter bike for me. It is light and fast. We do mostly trail riding and it handles gravel pretty well. Given the lack of suspension and the thin tires, this bike does not do as well on rougher and bumpier trails. REI Marlton provided excellent service when I picked up the bike. They helped me pick up a set of accessories (water cages, seat bag, kickstand, mini pump) and installed all of these at no costs. That's what I call customer service. They also took the time to walk me through the bike which I greatly appreciated given I am a novice.
Some minor complaints: (1) when I upshift I can hear the clicking sound. I am sure whether I am too demanding but I wonder whether the shifting is smoother and seamless with more expensive components (2) the seat is cool looking but not the most comfortable. I addressed that issue by using padded cycling shorts.

Rated5out of5bychesterdawgfromNice Bike!I also have a roadbike but use this everyday for a 10-15 mile ride to stay in shape.
I bought this for its lightweight and better ergos than the roadbike.
I usually puchase only Trek bikes but decided to checkout what REI had before purchasing a hybrid and knew as soon as I saw this bike that I wanted a Cannondale.
It has nice wide/comfortable grips that you can rest you palms on but I purchased even larger grips that also have risers at the end to vary your grip/position.
The sales & service people are top notch - very helpful, friendly & knowledgeable. I have 3 bike shops nearby but travel twice the distance to REI for the great staff & service.

Rated5out of5byBobharlyfromLight and Agile!I wanted a new bike for around town riding for exercise, 7 to 10 mile rides at a time. I was originally looking at the SL 1 and 2, but decided I wanted the triple chain ring on the crank. Since I live and work near the foothills, the extra climbing power is something I needed. Test rode a couple of other bike brands (at REI) and found the SL 3 to be Light, agile and smooth in comparison. The gear shifting is not top end, but it is much better than most and always puts it in the right gear when needed with no lag. THe stock seat is comfortable for this type of bike (softer than the typical hard seat). THe carbon forks make the front of the bike lighter than the rear which makes for light and fast steering.
I really like this bike. On my daily 10 mile bike path, my old cro-moly mtn bike takes 55 min, today I blazed that same path in 45 min on my first try.
The Quick SL 3 is not a road bike, but it is definitely quicker than a mtn bike and most hybrids in the same price range.

Rated5out of5byNewbieBikeCommuterfromFound my perfect 1st quality bike!Previously owned only the super heavy cheap $100 bikes. Definitely worth the upgrade; everything felt like a major upgrade...EVERYTHING! Rides smooth, lightweight, quiet, and gears shift with fluidity. Will replace the stock seat with gel padded seat. Mainly used to start up a new fitnes routine via commuting to/from work as well as casual riding. Happy customer!

I use my quick 3 every time i get bored. This bike is very fast, comfortable, handles very well, and is exceptional on climbs. Rated3out of5byJonathan RyanfromTall buyers bewareThe bike itself is wonderful and has a solid match of comfort, performance, and price. If I were writing the review based solely on the bike, it would be a solid 5 for the listed price.

Rated5out of5byKern StevefromI love my Quick SL 3I use my Quick SL 3 multiple days each week for a mix of intense exercise (hill climbs and sprints), endurance training (quick-ish 10 to 20 mile rides), and casual riding. It's a significant improvement over the hybrid I used to use for same purposes.
Gearing, geometry, weight, and tires suit my uses perfectly. I'm quite satisfied with the OEM saddle, pedals, and hand grips. Shifters and brakes have worked flawlessly.
