Rated5out of5byWm HansfromBike clothingI wear and use REI products all the time for recreational and daily use. REI fabrics, styles, and cuts are perfect. I'm 6'1" and REI shirts, tops, and jackets fit peferfeectly in sleeve and body length. When not buying the REI brand, REI offers all the best brands available.
I upgraded my bike this year. REI provided a SCOTT bike with new disc brakes that is solid in performance, styling, and price point.
I shop REI Northboook, IL by my house and in Boulder Colorado where my son attends college.

Rated4out of5bySteventfromfour an a halfthe way this jacket is cut, it fits better when more form fitting. I bought a Medium instead of a Large, despite the fact I haven't worn M since grade school. The length of the sleeves and body are still long enough for me.
I use the jacket for general around town wear, and as a lightweight motorcycle jacket for warmer weather. It's particularly great for the later application, because I opted for the smaller size/tighter torso fit. The Jacket stays in place at speed, and the collar and snap flap covering the zipper protect pretty well when the weather turns a bit cool. While saying it's windproof would be a stretch (I think the tag rated it as being windproof to 20mph), it has met or exceeded my expectations.
I think it looks pretty cool for an REI branded item- I opted for the gun metal color, and have no real complaints about style or performance.
The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that the interior breast pocket isn't large enough to hold an iPhone, and it's sideways sealed with velcro, instead of a zipper.

Rated5out of5byDrStevefromIt goes everywhereI am tall but trim. I often have trouble with the S-M-L sizing, as the medium fits my torso but the sleeves can be too short, while the large billows out around my midsection. This jacket keeps a slim look in the large, while the sleeve length is ample.
The look makes it. Smart enough to use as a sport coat, while functional as a lightweight outdoor jacket. Perfect for cool or windy weather. And it looks good with a dress Tee or a collared shirt.
The finishing touches of actual zippered (no hook/loop) pockets and snap buttons make a complete, stylish, all around package.

Rated4out of5byILJfromVery good jacket for travellingBought it for my son, who is now travelling in Japan. Needed a light jacket that could handle the humidity and rain showers, that could also be a spring / fall weight jacket back in Minnesota. So far, it has worked admirably. It is quite smart looking and he says that it has handled the conditions very well so far. When he climbs Mt. Fuji, it should be more than ample. It was very good value.

Rated5out of5byslider643fromNice casual jacketThis is a nice, lightweight casual jacket, exactly what I was looking for. It's a little snug through the shoulders, but the rest of the jacket fits great. It blocks light breezes very well, perfect for San Francisco nights where the wind is more of an issue than the temperature. The fabric has a nice textured look to it and the small details like the buttons and elbow to wrist "patch" really make it stand out.
This is a great piece for cool weather.
