The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated1out of5bydingodawgfromdropped before I could stand up!!Worthless! Just about dropped pass my knees when I stood up! They are very light, wind wipes right through them, so you probable want to layer them if they will stay up!!. If you have big quads and huge calfs, don't even bother. I think I am going to do what one other reviewer did....put them on my arms. Phew!!

Rated1out of5byEarly riserfromHad to return them :-(So I bought these for two specific reasons:
1. Made in the USA
2. 100 percent wool construction
I bought the largest size available and it simply did not fit. They also rode down the thigh, so some of the skin was exposed.
Returned them to the same REI store where I bought them, and it was THE BEST merchandise return ever.
My advice would be to try them before you buy them to ensure they fit.

Rated1out of5byKiwiBenfromvery uncomfortableThese are extremely badly sized. I purchased a large and I am not a big guy, yet these are very difficult to put on, they are also almost impossible to ride in with very little flexibility at the back of the knee. Avoid unless you are very sure they fit you and they allow you to flex your knee. I also have the smartwool arm warmers and they are great, its a pity these are so bad.

Rated1out of5bytdnbfromterrible productFits like the designers had no idea about the dimensions of a leg. Though the top elastic band is tight enough to cutoff circulation to your thigh, the product begins to roll down your thigh within minutes. If you sit, it will become bunched up behind your knee almost immediately. Aside for biking, this product cannot be used for even light jogging, as it quickly starts to fall down your knee. If they could fix the above the knee failures, it would great, because it is very comfortable on your calf.

Rated4out of5bythundercatfromIf you are skeletoreWas looking for arm warmers and the same brand arm warmers would only fit you if you are skeletor from the he-man cartoon. Seriously, I noticed these and I mistakenly tried them on my arm due to their visual similarity with the arm warmers and found the XL knee warmers fit my arm better than the same brand arm warmers ever would. Anyway, I didn't scam REI and I paid the knee warmer price. Took them out or a 12 mile off/on backpack trip and they worked well against the burs and thorns I encountered off trail. You will still feel the burs and thorns but you won't bleed to death and they worked very well keeping the chill out of my arms w/o causing overheating. Take my advice and use these for your arms, if these things fit past your calves, you should see a doctor about your eating disorder. Stay thirsty my friends. Oh, I'm 5ft 6in approx 200 pounds, according to the US Army I'm thick!?

Rated1out of5bytconsentinofromThe Large is way too small.I love Smartwool products. I was really looking forward to these. I'm usually a med-large for cycling tights. I could barely pull these over my calves. Too bad.

Rated4out of5byBonvain KidfromVery nice product.I have arthritic knees and wear these Smart Wool knee warmers to keep my knees warm and loose. I also wear them in cooler weather when biking. Smart Wool what else. Unless you have very skinny legs order the XL size. Snug fit but worth it.

Rated1out of5byPatrickFromSeattlefromL/XL is still too smallI've been on a wool craze, since ever discovering its great properties. But I have to say this is the poorist item I have.
Yeah, like the others have said, too small even with the L/XL. Barely got it over my calf. Thought I grabed the arm warmers.
This was definately designed for a pro cyclist. I had a different model of knee warmers from smartwool last year and those fit better, but didn't stay on too well.
