      Though this back is designed for the GoPro Hero 2, it is a great accessory if you can still find one. (the 3 series have WiFi built in)

      I do a lot of motorcycle adventure trips and have been using the Hero 2 along with a new Hero 3 Black. The back really transforms usability, as I no longer have to lay on the ground and squint at the LCD display, trying to level the camera when mounted under or on the bike.

      The app works well and being able to see the live image (with a few secs lag time) makes it very easy to frame properly. It's great being able to control all aspects of the camera and start/stop from an iPhone or iPad.

      I gave it 4 stars with 5 meaning "perfection" - perfection would be a battery that lasts for hours, however with the small design of the camera and accessories that will never happen. No complaints and overall a very good design. Btw the back itself requires charging as it has a separate internal battery so figure in having to charge both the camera battery(s) and the wifi back - will need two USB ports and two cables to charge them simultaneously.

        If you read the instructions it is easy to use. I use it all the time with the iPhone App to setup my shots. With the app you can view the battery life so you know when to change out the battery or recharge it. You can also delete files from the app. This is a must have accessory if you own a GoPro!

          If you have more than one GoPro you have to have this for the extras when you have the wireless remote. The wireless remote is the best add-on yet, better than the LCD and Battery BacPacs. It really is. NOTE: Upgrade the firmware on the GoPro or this wont work!!!
