Rated5out of5bypskihikerfromBacons RockThese skis are amazingly agile for a 108 waisted ski. I was very impressed with their handling on the hardpack. I expected much more chattering and sliding. I had them mounted at Eric's recommended line (-2), which is almost a center mount - and I think that has something to do with it. They were DESIGNED to be mounted this way. At first I was worried about the mounting point, but from the first run, they felt great. I could make quick, short turns, or long ones. They have a large sweet spot - I almost never got thrown in the backseat, even in some small moguls. You can ski fast or slow. They have a speed limit, but it is plenty high enough for me - and I was keeping up with most of the faster skiers, just like I always do. They are especially smooth in any kind of fresh snow - they bound from turn to turn for me. I picked the 190s - which are new for this year. I weigh 200 lbs and the length feels perfect. These are really FUN skis. If you like just having fun and being able to ski nearly every condition with one pair of skis, get them. Unless you are a super hard charger (35-40 mph plus),you will love these skis! And if you like going of jumps, these would be great skis with their low swing-weight. Best decision I ever made (ski-wise)!

Rated5out of5byLeo PfromAbsolutely LOVE THEMFirst of all, these skis are AMAZING!
At first I thought they would be a little too wide underfoot (108mm), for an all around ski for California snow. I read review after review saying they work just fine for any condition, so I took the plunge… I'm glad I did. I just used them for the first time this previous weekend and had the chance to try them on a few different types of snow. I encountered icy, slush, hard pack and even some slight powder conditions. The Bacons excelled in every condition, the only time they chattered a bit was on the icy stuff, but I would almost expect any ski would have. When it came to the small amount of loose stuff and powder, these things just destroyed it. It was great! I can only imagine what it would be like to try a knee-high day with them, I just hope we get one soon!! They were fairly quick and very stable at speeds. I am extremely happy with their all around performance.
It didn't take much time to get used to them, and I'm sure my future experience with the Bacons will just get better and better. I will definitely keep another set of narrower skis for a day of solid ice and corduroy, but for any other condition, these will definitely be my go-to twigs.
