by fromWe shall see... I was excited to get these quickly. Unfortunately, I was soon reminded why I vowed years ago to never buy hiking boots/shoes without metal D-ring lashers. The first time on my feet, one of the nylon lace loops broke while tightening - and no, I was not over-tightening - it was shocking they basically fell apart in my hands the moment I put them on my feet. In fact, my left hand has been recovering from surgery (now&70%), and it was on the left side of the left shoe. So, I made a repair so I could try them out, not wanting to go through the ordeal of returning a shoe without testing...After simmering down from the initial shock of how they could be so cheap (I did get them for cheap, though), I headed out for a test drive. I bought these to fit between light trail running shoes and my Zamberlan Nuvolao NW boots (which are the best heavy hiking boots ever). I needed trail running shoes that support my finicky ankles that I can also use hiking with a pack on my back when I don't want or need the Zams. The 12-mile initial hike was very comfortable. But that/this was Day One... I'll see how they hold up and report back. Note: I haven't even reviewed the Zamberlans because I feel for $360, I'll need to give them >1000 miles before passing judgement to the point of writing a review. I'm over 600 without a glitch, so I think I'll be good. But these [*]adidas shoes didn't have a review when I purchased them and I felt right away they must be cheap shoes after the issue with my first fitting, so I felt it would be important to post a quick review. Maybe I got a factory flaw, but it seemed crazy to me, although amost predictable with the nylon lacing system. Also, I look forward to testing the waterproofing....

by fromGreat boot for the $$ I got these before I went to Maine. Used them to hike Cadillac Mtn, and two other local hikes. Nothing too tech. One day a little wet. These boots performed Great! No Break In. Comfy, light, and warm. These were all with only CamelBack packs. I have my Lowa Banff Pro's for heavy pack treks. Couldn't ask for much more.

by fromAwesome Boot These boots rule! I researched and shopped around for these bad boys for a solid 4 months before one day, I hopped onto REI and found them at almost 80% off of the normal price. STEAL! Im a big guy, 6'3" 290. I bought the size 13. As with all of my shoes, they run a little narrow but these fit me just fine, and they are holding up great. They are warm with a pair of Smartwools and absolutely waterproof GTX unless you go sock deep and the water gets in the top. and even then they dry out rather quickly by the fire. Over all solid support, my ankles feel great and there is really good mobility in the toe. the grip is awesome as well. I wouldn't pay full price for these as I feel I could upgrade to a better pair at that range, but if you see these on sale be sure to snag them!

by fromGreat Boot! Love the boot, but one lace eyelit broke after the first 1 hr hike. The boots still laced up, but very dissappointed that I will need to return the boots after 1 month.

by from"Happy Feet" I am a converted all leather, norwegian welt kind of guy. I bought these for my wife and was so impressed, I bought myself a pair. I wore them around the neighborhood a few times, and then on a weekend backpack. They performed flawlessly... Light, comfortable, dry. Perfect for all my 3 season backpacking. Your feet will thank you if you buy these.I can't comment on durability or winter use for hiking, but I have used them for snow shovelling and they are pretty warm and dry.

by fromPleasant surprise. I wanted a comfortable lightweight boot. During the last couple of years, I switched from women's boots to men's boots due to better comfort and durability. I am surprised by these boots toughness . I have ripped out lugs on way more expensive boots after a few hikes. The soles on these boots look unused even though I have traveled on rough terrain. Overall, the boots are a great bargain that so far have been durable and comfortable.

by fromGreat Boots!!! These boots are really comfortable. They feel like your wearing shoes. There is no break in time required, just put them on and your good. I use them when I go fishing primarily and I am mostly walking around rough terrain which requires quality footwear. These fit the bill. You can wear them in warm or cold weather. They run true to size. These are excellent for long hikes as well. I have not had them long enough to judge durability but they seem well put together. I would recommend changing out the insole for a better quality one but that is typical with most shoes. Delivery was super fast. Pick up a pair, your feet will thank you.

by fromGreat boots right out of the box! These boots are great right out of the box with very little break in period. I was hiking in the Mountains in Italy, alot of waterfalls and wet rocks. The traction was great on the wet rocks and terrain, loose dirt, etc. I was in warm weather so cannot comment on the warmth, but for a great low priced day hiking boot, this is definately a steal!
