Comments about Arc'teryx Theta SV Bib Pants - Men's Short:
These pants have been three the ringer and are still bomb proof. Gore Tex make the best materials and it is clear with these pants. A bit expensive, but worth it if you earn your turns in the backcountry. Could use more pockets and softer inner lining.

Comments about Arc'teryx Theta SV Bib Pants - Men's Short:
These are very durable, 100% waterproof, smart bibs. They are great for skiing powder hard. with the integrated gaiters and snow skirt you do not get wet period. These are not insulated so on warm days a thin base layer are great and on cold days a base layer and an insulating layer are perfect. The bib is just high enough to keep the snow out and you warm. The pockets are nice for wallet, keys.
I have also climber rainier and Shasta with these and am headed to Denali this summer. The full zip are priceless for using with crampons and for temp regulation. The very dense material around the inner ankle are great for crampon protection. Unfortunately on a glasside down avalanche gulch I caught my ice axe on the thigh. IT tore a small hole in the pants. With the rip stop material the tear did not get any bigger on the rest of the trip. It was easily repaired professionally. Nothing could have withstood the attack of an ice axe and I think the pants held up well.
Overall the pants are awesome and

Comments about Arc'teryx Theta SV Bib Pants - Men's Short:
I have had the Theta SV for nine full seasons and have been astounded by how well they have held up (I love tree skiing) and how well they have kept me dry and warm for all those years. They are light, comfortable, and fit perfect (Large and I am 6' 1" 183lbs). I have used them for so many cold weather days, events, mountain climbing, and playing that they are my go to pants when the snow flies outside. They are so simple, functional, made in Canada, and the quality has proven itself over the years. I highly recommend them to anyone who likes to play in the snow and cold.

Comments about Arc'teryx Theta SV Bib Pants - Men's Short:
I've been using these pants for three years now and have nothing but positive words to say. I use them in a variety of sports, activities and conditions, but primarily for mountaineering, and backcountry and resort skiing.
They are incredibly durable and, after three years of use, are still in great shape. All the high-wear areas are reinforced with stronger fabric or extra stitching and this extra quality has made a huge difference.
The different size and inseam options also make for an excellent fit. I have a short inseam and had not previously found shell pants that fit me satisfactorily. These do and it is a pleasure not to have extra fabric hanging down over my boots.
The full length zipper allows me to regulate temperature very effectively and seals out water without any issues.
The only critique I have is that I wish the pants came with a small strap to tie the internal gaiters around the bottom of the boot. This would be a nice addition, as the internal gaiters do have rivet holes for such a strap.
All in all, an absolute 5-star product.

Comments about Arc'teryx Theta SV Bib Pants - Men's Short:
I have used these pants extensively, from mountaineering trips to Mt. Olympus, to backcountry, multi-day snowshoeing trips in the Cascades. These pants are exceptionally well made. The fit is fitted without being tight, and not baggy. The ProShell holds up like a champ and the full length zippers are a great feature as well as the crotch zipper. Highly recommend. *note: I was given these pants as part of the MountainTechs program. However, even if I was not, I would have written the same review as I truly believe in Arcteryx products.
