            I originally bought the tights for a cross country ski trip. They worked great there, but I also use them for trail running, hiking, cycling, and sleeping. So far, they hold heat in well without being bulky. I would have like to have tried a size smaller, but REI didn't have my size at the time, but the larger size still works well. I have other tights that I use for running, and I was surprised at how warm these are, especially considering they are less bulky than my other tights.
            I should also add that they are a little too short, but I am taller than the average woman.

              I needed a good base layer for walking my dogs in 30 > degree weather. Also wanted it to double for a base layer when hiking and biking in the cooler months. I also wear scrubs to work and wanted something with a slim profile that I could wear under them on cold days. This was a perfect choice for all of them. The fit it form fitting but not constricting. There is a texture on the inside that allows quick on and off and enhances the feel against your skin. It also helps with warmth. They are so comfortable and fit so well I use them alone for yoga at home, too.
              I typically wear a 10-12, and the large was an excellent fit.
              I plan to order an extra pair!
