Rated5out of5byolsenbkfromGreat Trail Running ShoeI love Vibrams, this is my 3rd pair. My first pair of Vibrams where the treksport, which I have ran many mud/obstacle course races, and 1 mountain trail marathon (very rocky). My second pair of Vibrams where the bikila, also used for mud/obstacle course races and ran 2 marathons (1 road, and that same mountain trial marathon). Both of pairs have held up just great and still running in them, probably ran 600-700 miles on each pair. Wanted to get the Spyridon, since I typically run rocky trails and give my feet some better protection while keeping the same ground feel. Feel similar to the Treksport but when you step on some rocky terrain, you definitely notice the sharpness of the impact being more spread out onto the bottom of your feet. Also, they have wonderful grip when running on wet, muddy, slick surfaces; like wet rocks… So far, they are great and I expect they'll get better as they wear in.

Rated5out of5byToughmudderguyfromFeel and function greatTrail running for some time, always in tradtitional shoes. Totally ignored the break-in training sequence (10% of your max distance). My calves paid the price! By week one very comfortsbe to walk in and do work in. Now at week 5 can run 6 miles in moderate to difficult terrain with minimal issues. Its a minimalist shoe so, it hurts when u step on stuff, be prepared. Feels like your racing in a glove. Now, i sized down 2 whole steps. Uncomfortable first 3-5 wears but broke in nice.

Rated4out of5bynkvballfromGood TractionIt has very good traction compared to the Trek Sport it also protects your feet from sharp rocks better too. The only problem I have with Fivefingers is the sizing, I wear a 40 in the KSO which is a tight/normal fit, but for the Trek Sport I have to wear a 41 because the 40 hits my arch in the wrong place. I tried a Spyridon 41 and it hit my arch in the wrong place too so I had to go with a 40 which is a little tight. I'm probably a 40.5!
I hope these will last a bit longer than the Trek Sport as the sole on those only lasts about 9 months.

Rated5out of5byRobnBethUrbanfromAmazingI was very impressed with these. I've been an avid barefoot runner for years, but trail running presented problems for my bare feet. These are the best Vibram Fivefingers I have used for trails and hiking in general. The traction is unparalleled. The built in rock plate has saved me from bruises on many occasions. I won't wear anything else if there is mud or loose terrain. Vibram out did themselves with these.

Rated5out of5byMichael CustosfromBest trail running shoe ever! These are great!
However I have learned from running the Sandia mountain trails here in Albuquerque, if you don't wash them "very frequently" the dirt and sweat mix from trail running will make the fabric in between the toes stiff and will consequently wear and tear making a hole.
Other than that these are the best trail running shoes I have ever come across.

Rated5out of5bydjglass1982fromAmazing!I had running issues for years and tried everything with no luck.
I was a skeptic at first about these shoes, but once I started running with them they solved all my running problems. (shin splints & knee problems)
