by fromGreat all around shoe I have only had these a couple weeks so I still consider this the "break in" period but these shoes are INSANELY comfortable. I was really reticent to even consider the FiveFinger line until I tried a pair on at a "outdoors" retailer a few years back. I was blown away at how comfortable they were for the few minutes I had them on. Since then I have been looking for the perfect deal and pounced on this Clearance deal when it came up. I have used the shoes around the house and the yard and they are perfect for the times I feel like being barefoot but want something on. I have also used them running errands and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they are while driving (I expected to feel a little "barefoot" which is not a comfortable feeling while driving for me). In a couple weeks I plan on wearing them for a family hike and look forward to having them out on the trails too!!

by fromGood Water Shoes I fish a lot around rivers/creeks/lakes and these do the trick. The only issues I have is when you get in sandy/gravel conditions, they can let the sand inside the shoe. Watch the padding because sharp rocks can bruise your heel. Overall a lot better then the river booties that everyone else has though.

by fromGreat shoes! Just get size from website First, the sizes on REI's website are completely wrong. Make sure you size from Vibram's website using the ruler which resulted in a perfect fit for me. But I would have been off by more than a size using REI's size guide. I use these shoes primarily for going to the gym. They are great for that. Leg presses feel amazing with them, running is a blast, and I just feel stable and grounded. They are really alot of fun. I also like using them for walks around the neighborhood with my son, as they ventilate really well. The only downsides are that they look unusual, and it's very easy to stub you toes.

by fromGreat for summer Bought shoes with the same "concept" but with one less finger made by another company and found their sole to separate from the rest of the body after first day of use. These are of much better quality and fit much more snugly too. I love them except for poor weather resistance in these. If you're walking in grass that's wet, water will get in. If it's raining, water will get in. I haven't tried any other model of Vibram FiveFingers so I'm hoping some of the other models don't have this issue. However this is something you should pay careful attention to if you're planning to invest in this particular model.

by fromSecond Pair of FF's not a mistake This was my second pair of Five Fingers after picking up some komodosports to try at a garage sale. After wearing those for a few months I wanted some more. The upper on the KSO is very minimal which is great in the heat or water. I have worn these around town, in the mountains, white water rafting, they are a great all around shoe. I would give them a 5 if they really did keep stuff out completely.

by fromGreat shoes, if that's what you call 'em Saw these at the outlet and jumped at the purchase. Actually I ordered them a bit too small and had to take them into my local REI. Exchange was awesome and the local store actually had a pair in the correct size on hand! If you can try these on before purchase I'd highly recommend it, but after two weeks with these I now wear them more than my flip flops - which says a lot.

by fromDon't be worried, just do it! This was my first pair of Vibram's and I have never even tried a pair on so I was a little worried about the sizing. My left foot is slightly flat so its length is about .3 inches longer than my right. I wear a 10.5 in my Nike Free's and Lunarswift's. The 42's I ordered fit perfectly! They're snug like a glove but don't cause my feet/toes any pain. I spend most of my day barefoot as I work from home. The transition has been painless. I've been wearing them to run errands and to the gym to break them in. So far no pain. My only concern is accidentally kicking something and stubbing a toe or ripping the upper. I kicked a parking curb yesterday, it hurt my toe, shoe is fine though. Anyone thinking about it, just do it! You won't be sorry!
