Comments about The North Face Himalayan Mittens:
While somewhat bulky, very warm and water proof. This is what I use when we have winter storms/snow events, and I need to clear our driveway etc. Also great for winter hiking/snowshoeing - as long as you put these on LAST :)

Comments about The North Face Himalayan Mittens:
Not for skiing I would say. Gripping and actually using poles feels like trying to do so with pillows on one's hands, which makes sense given the insolation. Better for just being outside in cold weather and perhaps some mountaineering, but grip is still problematic. Great for warmth, very comfortable, but not great for grip.
