    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

La Sportiva Tarantulace Rock Shoes is rated 4.2353 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Value -These shoes are one of the lesser expensive compared to other Sportivas so I chose them. They have put out a great value so far and have gotten me up 5.12s inside and out. I have wider feet so they seem more narrow. I should have gone a size bigger. The rubber is great for smearing outside. Not too agressive and good for a full day of climbing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these shoes I have gone through a number of shoes and I really like these the best. I am a recreational climber and get out about once maybe twice a week. I climb primairly outdoors and on varying rock; face, crack, traverse, etc.. And this shoe is well adept for all of this. The shoes fit better than any other pair that I previously owned. One note, when buying this shoe I had less hot spots on the toes by going a 1/2 size smaller, seems counterintuitive but that was definitely the case with me. All in all this is a great general purpose for the recreational climber. I definitely recommend these shoes and will likely buy another pair once I go thought the rubber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Pair of Rock Shoes! First time I went bouldering I rented a pair of Evolvs with straps and they were very uncomfortable! I bought these after my first time going and fell in love with them my first climb! I personally love the laces and they work very well as long as you double knot them! The leather/synthetic blend on these is the other key feature that I really like! It really helps with your shoes not smelling! Overall I highly recommend this pair of rock climbing shoes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe for an amazing price I tried these on in the store and my first thought was "these were made for my feet." I wear an 11 for my street shoes and these are a 9 (42 Euro) and they are still comfortable. I've found every pair of La Sportiva's tend to run really big. I've had these for over a month and have used them for bouldering in a gym twice a week and for 2 full days of trad climbing. They held up great and the rubber is really sticky. The toes are a little too rounded to try to toe into something really small but they've done amazingly for everything else. They smear well and edge great. The best feature is that I can lace them pretty tight and they still feel comfortable, even after a 3-pitch climb. Considering how inexpensive these shoes are, I couldn't ask for anything better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great All Around shoe Bought these shoes on recommendation and after trying on the all leather Poccahantas looking shoes for a buck fifty. These green kiwis felt great on my feet, and feel even better having climbed with them from a few months. I'm a mediocre climber. I lead around 5.8-5.9 comfortably. But, I'm enthusiastic and athletic (I just suck). These shoes were the right mix of helping me get into the stuff I want to climb, not turning my feet into Chinese ballet dancers', and reasonable on the budget. Amusingly, the silly green color gets compliments from people at the crag. So be it. Try these shoes as a first pair. Or as a backup pair if you are REALLY good. See you on the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Notch Climbing Shoe! I'm a new climber and this is my first pair of climbing shoes. Previously I have been renting shoes from the indoor gyms where I have climbed. I love these shoes and think that have made climbing easier for me. They fit my wide feet very well (and are actually comfortable). I love the shape of the toe area, it's great for getting into nooks. Have used them indoors and out. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid, if clunky Picked up these shoes before a trip since my Solutions are getting haggard and the price was right. These guys are pretty solid. They stick well, they're true to Sportiva sizing and they feel fine on my feet. Not super precise, though, and the rubber is so thick, blunt and flat that it takes some time to learn to trust them. Especially if you're coming off an aggressive shoe. Still, if you're looking for a nice "between the hard stuff" shoe that you can wear for longer than one pitch, these are nice for the price. One note: They need a couple of climbs to get sticky. First few (indoor, anyway) were a little hair raising.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Indoor Shoes This is the only Sportiva shoe that is machine made, but still fits very well. It is comfortable enough for 3 hours of climbing. The fit is great and chose a 1/2 size down from my normal shoes. I feel like the shoe has not stretched much. The sole is durable. For the first few climbs expect a little green on your feet.
