The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Pinnacle Backpacker Cookset:
I checked "Comfort Driven" for my gear style, but this product is wonderfully lightweight and compact for the luxury it includes. I use it with my MSR Dragonfly for backpacking, typically stuffed with hot coco, instant coffee and oatmeal packets. What prompted me to write this review is the wonderful experience I just had with customer support. I had the old style lid (meltable) and when I called in to acquire a replacement...a human answered the phone (gasp) there was no talk of money, just where they could send it to. The old lid started to melt at the edge from heat conducted to it by the metal. Even with the scare neither my meal or the rest of the product was ruined. This was purchased many moons ago, if you want to buy one, they should all have the new ( safe ) lid.
Extremely pleased with the product and brand :)

Comments about GSI Outdoors Pinnacle Backpacker Cookset:
Got this set of cookware last season. Used the pot and pan about a dozen times out in the wild (both on an open fire and camp stoves), three times that amount in my college dorm. Some discoloration due to the fire and burnt food, but no warping. The non-stick has held up great (few scratches due to a metal fork, stupid me), Lid hasn't melted, Cleans very well. All in all, a decent set. The handle can be a bit shaky at times, holds the weight fine, but seems to have some wiggle-room. Pot holds enough to cook for 3-4 people instead of 1-2 I find. Seems like it will last me a while yet.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Pinnacle Backpacker Cookset:
GSI has made various tweaks to these products over the years. This latest iteration has a couple notable improvements from the one before it:
1) The plastic pot lids have long had reported problems of melting if left unattended even briefly. There's a significant change on this version, these appear to be made of a sturdier plastic, and most importantly have a rubber/silicone ring where they contact the pot. Time will tell but it looks a lot better, and I'm going to call them and request a similar replacement for our 4-person pinnacle camper.
2). The clasp that holds the rig together when packed is a sturdy S clip that when tensioned isn't going to pop loose. The last version had Velcro, which was horrible..most folks called GSI to demand the spring clip style before it...I think this one is probably the best of the three.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Pinnacle Backpacker Cookset:
The best thing about this product is how much it packs in to such a small bundle. Not only is it convenient to have all my cooking supplies in one place but it allows everything to take up as minimal space as possible. Which is very valuable if you are packing in to the campsite. With some previous gear, the nonstick has not been quite up to par, the Bugaboo however is probably better than anything I have in the kitchen. I've been using this on all my camping trips and so far have zero negatives to report.
