by fromSounds Like Smashing a Bag of Corn Chips Terrible design; while laying on this mattress, the slightest move creates the sound of someone smashing a bag of corn chips. This would be a nightmare for light sleepers. As I turned back and forth on this mattress, I also heard "popping" like when someone is popping bubblewrap; I don't know if that meant chambers inside were breaking, but it is way too noisy for me. It is also narrower than another equivalent popular mattress, even though they are both listed as having the same dimensions.

by fromGreat until it doesn't hold air The 1 Star rating that I have given this bag is solely based on its failure during a recent backpacking trip on the AT in Tennessee. I have used this pad approximately 20 nights. Until this recent trip it has been superb...comfortable, compact, light weight...everything great. HOWEVER, even though I treat my lightweight gear very gingerly and have been very careful with the NeoAir, it failed. The pad developed a slow and undectable leak. Given this, no matter how good the pad, I consider it unacceptable and potentially dangerous in very cold situations.

by fromLeaks I bought this pad for a 3 month motorcycle trip through Europe and Asia. A few weeks into the trip the pad developed a VERY slow leak. Too slow to detect using soap bubbles but nonetheless fast enough to leave me hitting the hard ground around 3 am. Now I have a very expensive piece of junk.

by fromLight and compact, but noisy. The spec's are right on: light, compact, comfortable, etc. However, every time I'd move on the pad, with or without my sleeping bag, it would make a lot of noise. It not only bothered me consistently throughout the night, but also my partners, who were more than 30 years away.

by fromCrinkly noise I slept on this in my living room and found it very comfortable. I could feel the warmth radiating up from the pad soon after lying down. The pad is also light and packs to a small size. Unfortunately, I found the pad a bit noisy whenever I moved, especially when I rolled over. I assume it's the pad's reflective material that sounds like crinkling plastic. I tried to get used to the noise but it kept waking me up whenever I rolled over. Apparently, the sound doesn't bother other reviewers though, so you may want to order the pad and try it for yourself.

by fromComfy sleep I am thrilled that I purchased this to take the place of my old foam pad. It was surprisingly easy to inflate; I was not out of breath after blowing it up, taking less than 10 breaths to inflate. It is durable also, as I left it inflated for 3months during the summer field season and finding it to not lose any measurable thickness.

by fromgreat mattress I have many sleeping pads and I find this one to be the most comfortable. Not self inflating and I found the included pump to be more trouble than it's worth, but it inflated quickly with a few puffs. It was in the low 20's and I never felt any cold creeping up through the pad and unlike the other review, I heard no noise at all (I should add that I'm a VERY heavy sleeper). It is a little narrow, but I'm a small guy so this wasn't an issue for me. I slept like a log all night. It's relatively light and packs small, so for me, a definite winner.

by fromWorth it One of the most comfortable pads I've ever used. I felt like I was on a pillow top mattress. It's best for sleeping on your side. Only draw back is that it doesn't self inflate but this isn't a big deal. It's not hard to blow up and worth it when you get a great nights sleep.
