Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
I'm using it for motorcycle camping. To that end this tent should work very well for me. It has enough room for me (6ft even) and my bike gear. The vestibule is big enough to keep my big stinky bike boots dry and not inside the tent, another reason to be thankful for good ventilation. Full coverage rain fly provides a proper dry place when trying to escape the rain, the quick setup time is a big plus here too. I bought it in preparation for an upcoming 10 day trip as a replacement for an old tent with a broken pole. I've only had the chance to sleep in it one night so far. But based on previous experience this tent should serve me well for many years of motorcycle camping.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
I have had this tent a year and a half now, and have had enough camping trips to properly evaluate it.
I really love this tent. The size inside is very comfortable, I am able to sit up, and move around comfortably in it. I use it as a 2 man tent being 6'2 200 lbs, and I like my space. I have had it in many different situation and have never had an issue with wind or rain.
The only reason it rated it a 4 instead of a 5 is because of it's weight. It is a little heavy for long backpacking trips. I took off all unnecessary tags and weighed it with everything it comes with and it came to 7 lbs 3 oz. I have felt it has been worth the little extra weight, but I am more of a comfort guy when it comes to my sleeping in the wild.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
Really great tent. Used several times throughout wet Western Washington and have always come out dry. Used in snow and it has held up well and kept me warm.
Only difficulty with this tent is replacing the tent poles. I lost mine and can not find how long the poles are to order replacements. Anyone have theirs and willing to share their knowledge?

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
Overall this tent is a win. It's a great balance of cost and features. Sure you can find tents that will out perform the Marmot but you will also pay significantly more for them. Additionally, you can find a gob of tents that are a lot cheaper than this tent but you will undoubtedly be compromising when it comes to the 4 categories outlined above. So if you're looking for a solid all around tent that won't break the bank, go buy a Marmot Limelight 3P and don't look back.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
This tent works great. Excellent quality, well constructed. Heavy enough to withstand heavy winds and light enough to backpack with. At 6'4" and 230 lbs. I decided on the 3 to fit me better, glad I did. Works well with my wife and I. We love each having our own door! Great for motorcycle camping.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
It works great! I bought this tent a few months ago and do not have any complaints. I have used it for backpacking, beach camping and c camping in the mountains. Last weekend we were camping near Joshua Tree and got a few inches of snow, not an issue at all. Although it is not an ultra-light tent it works great when backpacking. I have only ever used it with two people however with two people there is plenty of space for gear.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
Bought this tent and immediately packed it into backpacks for an overnight trip. In gale force winds the tent was errected for the first time. Its simplicity made it quick and easy to put up. The wind gusted throughout the night and the fly remained taught without any guy lines. We camped above 13000 ft the tent stayed rigid throughout the night. The high ceiling makes it comfortable to sit up. We had two young children and a dog so the three man worked great.
Only issue is the weight - but frankly given the abuse it took on its first night the extra pound is worth carrying...

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
I bought this for a road trip and to camp at Burning Man in the desert for a week. I first set it up in my apartment to get the hang of it, but it was so easy, I really didn't need to. It set up fast in the desert (used for 2 people), and worked great. My buddy left the fly open one day and it filled with sand, but I was able to empty it out, lift the whole thing off the ground, and flip it over and empty all the sand through the mesh pretty easily. It held up in the wind out there pretty well, too.
A couple weeks later I went backpacking into the woods of Southern Illinois with my girlfriend and we used this tent. I carried it all (not split up between us), and it wasn't too bad and fit in my 70L hiking bag quite well. It set up super easy, and folds up well. The light weight is important for backpacking, as well as working well for car camping.
I've only used it with one other person, and it was a good amount of room on the inside. Can't speak for three people, like it's intended, but I could imagine it might be a little tight, as most are. The mesh walls are nice and allow for good airflow. I've spent a total of 9 nights in this tent and it's been a great investment. It's nice that it included both a footprint and rainfly.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
This is the best tent around. There is nothing complicated about it. It is just a really well designed tent. I used it this summer on the beach when it was abnormally windy. I was very impressed by the rain/wind fly. The storage pockets are in all the right places. The footprint is great and makes set up even easier.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent:
Used this in a very wet environment, stayed plenty dry and would trust this in the worst conditions. Have a dog that loved it and I trusted the tough nails of a 60 puppy not to break through the floor and even the mosquito netting that took the occasional paw for potty break.
Real light at under total 6 pounds for the extra room and comfort. For a big guy over 6,3" 205lbs I didn't feel cramped in any situation and for the weight its unbeatable.
The best part was the camouflage during the day (green rain fly) and the reflective corners and logos made it super easy to navigate campsite at night.
