Rated5out of5byDistanceCyclistfromPerfect bike!I ride almost everyday since getting this bike. After riding a hybrid bike almost daily, I decided it was time to convert to a road bike that would allow me to go for longer rides and have the opportunity to improve my speed, strength, and see more of the world on two wheels. Just about 6 months ago I started biking and am very happy with this bike as my first road bike. The bike handles wonderfully and flipping through the gears could not be smoother. I did have to get a new seat but the salesperson recommended that when I was purchasing the bike. I was glad to have a salesperson help me determine which size bike I needed because that was completely foreign to me. After a few shorter rides of about 10 miles, I felt very comfortable taking a longer 25 mile ride and was amazed at how smooth the ride was! This bike quickly became my favorite present to myself. I would recommend following all the recommendations included in the owner's manual if you are a new road bike owner. You need to wipe the bike down after each ride to remove any debris. Then you should also be sure to understand how to inflate the tires after every ride. One thing I did not realize was how different the valves on the tires were so you need to be sure you have a pump that is compatible with the Presta valves. That is the only thing I can think of that made me have to pause before a ride, but that is a very minor learning curve. This bike is wonderful, lightweight, comfortable, and runs so smoothly!
Also, I recently purchased a trainer to go with the bike so the New England weather does not stop my riding and it is perfect for indoors, too!
