by fromdisappointing I really want to like this thing, but mine is leaking pretty fast around the seal between the lid and the mug, and it is brand new. The good news is that the lid assembly itself seems to work well, and the drinking mechanism is probably leak proof, which is awesome. But I can't be sure of that because of the leak between the lid and mug. I would probably give it 4 or 5 stars if it didn't leak... I'll have to see how Stanley's service dept handles things.

by fromPoor construction After the first cup I went to refill it with more coffee and the seal around the lid leaked, just as the other reviewer had posted. I will be returning this immediately to the store. Not sure how this got past the testers if it fails after one use.

by fromBest so far, but I wanted a coffee mug that I could throw in my bag in the morning and still be able to drink hot coffee 4 hours later when I got to the office. Pros: This coffee mug definitely keeps the drink hot for that whole time. It is easy to transport, as I can put it (UPRIGHT) in my bag and not worry about it, or carry it horizontally as I walk. CONS: Make sure you "prime" the mug before putting it in your bag. When the hot liquid first is in the mug, turning the mug on its side will result in your drink shooting out of the seams and getting everywhere. I found that if I "vent" it a few times by pushing the "drink" button, this doesn't happen, though there is always a little drip from the seal by the button. overall, the best mug I've found, but a few significant quirks to be aware of.

by fromWorth the cost I bought this travel mug because I was sick of having cold coffee within an hour of getting to work. I put my coffee in the stanley mug around 0600, it's still warm by 0900, it's amazing, I love it. Bonus points go to the lid being easily disassembled for easy cleaning, I never knew if my old travel mug lid was getting clean or not.

by fromNo major complaints on 2nd attempt The first one I bought was defective and it couldn't keep any hot beverages warm for more than an hour... Luckily, I was able to return it for a replacement. 2nd time around, the product actually works. I can't say the mug is perfect, but it keeps my drink warm until I finish it (~4 hrs). Even though my drink is still warm, it's not as warm as I thought it'd be...

by fromgreat mug, leaky seal It's a great mug, but the seal leaks a bit right when you fill it up with a hot drink. After a few seconds, it stops, and is rock-solid after that. Flipping the o-ring over seems to solve the leak problem altogether. Keeps coffee piping hot for several hours, too.

by fromMug keeps drinks hot... too hot! Stanley website and instructions state there should be a dust cover/lid for the thing. Mine never came with one. I've been back to REI a few times since my purchase and it seems like all the Stanley mugs are missing that dust cover.

by fromSo hot! Love my coffee hot hot hot! I got this mug at REI and found it to work VERY well. It pours just the right amount of coffee with each sip. After mine leaked I was given a replacement from Stanley, free of charge. The best thing about this mug is I can commute to work on my bike while still drinking coffee. The paint got dinged up a bit on the water bottle cage, but I now won't leave the house without it.
