Rated5out of5byCindyGfromLove my bike!Like one of the other reviewers, I am ramping up from casual to more serious cycling and purchased this entry level bike road bike as an introduction to the sport. I probably ride 4-5 days a week, some commuting and longer rides on the weekends. I love how light weight this bike is and how well it handles, compared to my other bike (mountain hybrid).
My only complaint is the seat - and after riding it for a little over 3 months, I'm going to switch it out with another saddle. Also, I was experiencing at least a flat a week, but after installing tire liners seem to have fixed the problem.

Rated5out of5bySpinning ElainefromFirst and Only Race BikeBeing an avid marathoner I've been looking for a twist in my routines. I decided to look towards triathlons and started my bike search. I didn't want to go all out tri-bike "serious" since this was my first dive into it. I went to REI multiple times to size and look at multiple bikes. I finally got to test ride this one and I fell in love at first pedal stroke.
I was looking to spend a good 1200 dollars, at least, for a race bike. To my surprise this had all the same (if not better) components than most of the bikes I was eye-balling.
After a last look around the shop and what my best option dwindled down to I was able to get a great deal and outstanding tri advice from a few REI sales people. They inspired me to try this bike out for my triathlons.
I was sold and I've racked up hundreds of miles on this bike already and it's holding strong after a month and a half. I'll be going in for a tune-up soon but I'm so suprised how well it's made and how smooth it rides.
I have a strong feeling this bike is going to last me a very long time but if I ever find I need another bike I will certainly look at the Novara line first before I hit the high-end bikes.

Rated4out of5byCharlesSfromA solid combination.I purchased this bike for my wife, as she is getting serious in her cycling. At this price point, the component group is very solid - 105 shifters and rear derailleur, with tiagra components for the rest. The frame is very stiff and nicely responsive.
It's four of five stars, since it lacks a 105 front derailleur, but it's very solid and hard to beat at this price point.
