The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Novara Mia Women's Bike - 2013:
First of all, the service by the young lady sales associate was awesome in the bike department. It was her suggestion to consider the Mia. I have not ridden a bicycle for over 20 years and needed to start cycling due to medical advice for knee problems. I was sized properly and was shown how to shift, take off the front wheel and how to get the chain back on if it fell off. I managed to shift wrong on my maiden ride causing the chain to come off but I was to get it back on and continue with my ride. The bicycle is fun to ride, I may need to change the seat for a wider spring seat due to my lower body needs. Overall I am so happy with the bicycle that I look forward to going for a ride.

Comments about Novara Mia Women's Bike - 2013:
It was time to buy my growing 13-year old daughter a new bike. We saw couple of Treks at a local bike sore; all had the boring black/grey frame colors. My daughter saw this bike at the REI Denver Flagship and instantly fell in love. Now I can't get her off the bike. She rides it to school almost every day and she can finally keep up with me on my rode bike.

Comments about Novara Mia Women's Bike - 2013:
I searched for a quality step through bike here on Oahu at several different bicycle suppliers, to include department stores and was not successful, so I looked to REI based on several reviews of bicycles I found on different sites on-line, comparing prices versus needs, economic value, and quality. I bought this bike with the intention of using it for running errands, taking my son for rides (he's 9 months old), commuting, recreation, and exercise. When I first jumped on the bike, I had to get used to my foot hitting the front wheel while turning, because for many years, I have been using either a mountain bike or a racing bike. Both ride differently and handle differently. As soon as I got the bike going, it was surprisingly lightweight and fast. I tried several gears. At home, I have to conquer mid-sized hills, so I wanted a bike that would allow me to ride uphill with some effort, but not too much effort. I test rode my bike on a 7 mile stretch. I loved the ride. I feel confident that I will be able to attach the infant bike seat and tote my son safely around my neighborhood. This is another qulaity product purchased from REI. Also, there is a bell and a kickstand already attached to the bike. The bell rings nicely. It is a lot of fun to ride!
Service and delivery comments:
My bike was delivered safely without any defects and it arrived fast. I live in Honolulu. I had to contact REI staff to replace a bike, because I initially purchased the wrong size for my body frame. They were polite and very helpful. The service I received from different representatives on different days was excellent.

Comments about Novara Mia Women's Bike - 2013:
I was properly fit by the saleswoman and really enjoyed a Yosemite trip with my family. The seat to handlebar ratio makes for a comfortable ride, and I don't much miss shocks I have had on other bikes.
However, I had 3 flats in 1 1/2 days of riding on paved trails in Yosemite, where I was riding with 5 family members. Only thing my techie bike son-in-law could figure out through deductive reasoning is that the green light weight tire/tube inserts were pinching the tubes. So we removed them, and no problems since, which included riding the Foster Park to Ojai trail recently.

I received this bike as a birthday gift from my husband. This bicycle is awesome. I have carpal tunnel and have found other bikes to be wrist numbing. Not the case with this bike. I feel like a kid again! Able to ride for hours without any discomfort. Thanks Novarra!
