The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
I needed something I could keep in my bag at all times for unexpected (or expected) rain/sleet on my commute. I was elated to find these after a long time of looking. They are light, fold up to a small package, and have seen me through driving rain with no problem. Much better than the plastic bags I was using. I even use them to cover my feet when it's below 30 and windy just for wind protection. I have treated them gingerly, walking on them as little as possible. Only problem I had was with the zipper, which broke becuase I had to pull on it fairly hard to get it over my size 13 hiking boots. But Showers Pass replaced them without a problem. They do exactly what I wanted them to do so I'm thrilled with them.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
I love riding and working on bikes, and commute by bicycle rain or shine (mostly rain here in seattle), but HATE having to go all 'tour de france' just to ride to work in the morning. I prefer to toss on rain gear over whatever I'm wearing, so I bought these shoe covers to put on over my regular shoes- I did not cut out any holes for cleats in the soles and have no intention of doing so. They definitely get the job done- the waterproofing is good and they seem to be at least as durable as the covers meant to go over bike shoes. They also fold down nice and small to fit into a bag when they're not needed. My chief complaint is that they're floppy, not necessarily in the length, but in the height/volume, like they were designed to go over boots rather than shoes. They also definitely need to be worn UNDER rain pants because the elastic at the top is not tight enough to keep water out if you tuck pants into them.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
Like many of the other commenters, I'm also in the Pac Northwest and bought these to use on my daily commute. They do keep my socks and shoes dry when riding in rain and through puddles. When used in combination with my Marmot rainpants, I arrive at work very comfortable. After 2 weeks, however, I noticed that the treads on my pedals had torn small holes in the soles of these booties. I've used shoe goo to keep them going, which turned out to be more durable than the original material. Nonetheless, I'm looking for something that does the job right the first time out of the box.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
These are shoe covers -- you can't expect much! They cover your shoe. They won't look stylish, and they are not meant to walk around in. I gave them 4 stars because I'm actually surprised by their durability and they are very waterproof and windproof. Could they be better? Of course. Do I expect them to be? No.
Fit info: I wear a large to cover a men's 12 hiking shoe. It probably couldn't fit anything larger.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
I cycle commute year-round and got these to replace my old burleys. I had a hard time getting these to fit over my street shoes. I ended up getting the XL which are too long for me, but almost wide enough. That makes them all the more clumsy to walk in. I haven't had them a year and have already worn holes in them from rubbing on the crank arms.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
I use these for commuting in the Pacific NW. They fit correctly and worked great for about three to four months, although from the beginning, the zippers would occasionally jam. I nearly returned them, but I was able to force the zippers back on track so stuck with them. After about four months the zippers failed completely, because the bottom of the covers frayed so badly that the zippers were no longer attached at the base. Here's the killer: I commute from home to work, and in both cases the bike is kept in a bike locker. The amount of walking I have done in these is absolutely minimal: a few feet each day, mostly on carpet.
They need to reinforce the bottoms and raise the end of the zipper so it isn't so close to the ground. I guess you get what you pay for. A friend swears by the Sugoi booties but they seem to also get mixed reviews. Perhaps I'll just slum it and go with plastic bags. Hey, its recycling!

Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
I own two pair of these covers. A small that fit my cleated, racing shoes and a large that cover my commuter/walkable shoe. Both function well as rain covers. Because the commuter covers didn't require a cutout for cleats they have held up the best and this seems to be the best use. They keep my feet dry on my daily commute. For the money, they are an effective form of rain ware.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
To start off, the product does keep your feet dry. It's like a rain jacket for your shoes. The material is not neoprene or rubbery but is waterproof cloth. But is having rainpant-like material covering your shoes going to hold up as you walk? No, it's going to get scratched and ripped if your not super careful. I used this product on a rainy 2 month tour from Anchorage to San Francisco and used it quite a bit. I loved how it kept my feet dry when others using neoprene shoe covers got soaked. However, the ShowersPass shoe covers ripped on occasion during my trip and consequently I duct-taped the holes.
I wear a size 12 Shimano MTB shoe with a large shoe cover and it doesn't fit snug enough to keep the heel of the shoecover from coming in contact with the pavement. Thus, I walked on my toes when I had these on so that the back zipper was spared.
If you use these on a commute then they might be acceptable, but definitely won't hold up for any length of time on a tour. But they did keep my feet dry! If they sold them for $10 dollars it would be worth it because I view them as disposable quality.
Comments about Showers Pass Club Shoe Covers:
I don't actually have these shoe covers, so I can't say anything about them. But if you are looking at these, you should also look at the "Tiaga Dry-Foot Cycle Gaiters".
That is what I have and love. They work great in Seattle where it is wet, but not super cold.
