Comments about Keen Alamosa WP Shoes - Girls':
This is for an active pre-teen who cannot even bother with laces. The pull-string is a good solution but she doesn't even do it up and the shoe stays on her feet. Her forefoot is wider than normal and these fit so comfortably on her. Her feet pronates a little bit so we need shoes that help control that from worsening. This shoe weighs more than the average running shoe so this is not meant for gym wear. The colour gets her approval - not too girly nor does it look like a boys shoe. We rely on Keens - sandals and sports shoes - because she wears out regular shoes by the toes (Reebok, NIke…). We love it so much that I bought Keens sandals for myself.

Great all around hiking shoe! My daughter wouldn't take them off.

Comments about Keen Alamosa WP Shoes - Girls':
Bought these for my 5 grade daughter, who isn't so great at tying her shoes (they always come undone 5 minutes later...). We liked the color and style (very important for a 10 year old). Overall, we are pretty happy with them. She can wear them to school, playground, outside. She's not a huge adventurist, but they seem to support her well enough that she doesn't complain about her feet, which is the sign of a good shoe for me.

Comments about Keen Alamosa WP Shoes - Girls':
I am an adult woman with very small feet. I typically buy size 5 shoes. I was happy to find that these shoes (kids size 3) fit well and conformed to my feet. I used these for a day hike in the Santa Monica Mtns. I was happy that they had good traction and were very lightweight. However towards the end of the day, I was starting to feel the sharp rocks through my shoes. But I don't expect too much from kids shoes that cost half the price of adult shoes. I plan to replace the insoles with Super Feet berries. I'll probably also replace the bungee laces with traditional laces so my feet to roll around too much on loose rocks. Overall, I'm still happy with the shoe and recommend it.

Comments about Keen Alamosa WP Shoes - Girls':
Totally impractical! Every time I put these shoes on my toddler, its a struggle due to the excessively stiff heel and upper. Despite the fact they are the right size, putting them on always hurts my toddler. We've never had this issue with other shoes.
As an adult, I struggle to put them on. There is no way that a small child could put these on by themselves.
Superior toddler shoes exist with better fasteners (ie. New Balance with velcro). I'd suggest them instead.
Very poor execution by Keen for a small child's shoe.
