The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Going to be using them for sailing on a small catamaran as well... I like the shutoff valve... Keeps the bite valve from leaking... Good product... :-)

Rated2out of5byLaurellfromGood when it worksOverall its a good reservoir, has a nice bite valve that doesn't leak when shut. it is very lightweight but this causes it to be flimsy and floppy. It is also a bit difficult to fill all the way up because you have to hold both ends of the bag to get it completely open, and this is especially tricky when filling from a water fountain or any where thats not a sink. I have used numerous Camelbaks in the past that i thoroughly enjoyed, but this one was a disappointment. On the second day of an eight day backpacking trip through the Rockies it started leaking. I love the convenience of having a Camelbak but this just made it un useable as it would soaked all my gear. It turned out that two of the other people with me had problems with the same reservoir. These leaks were in different parts too, one was in the connection of the tube another was a small puncture due to its delicately thin plastic and mine would just leak all over. It seems to me that the quality of Camelbak's reservoirs has gone downhill and i will most not likely buy any more of their products until they get this problem under control.

Rated5out of5byAbsentmindedfromconvenient and manageableIf you pay attention to what you are doing, it is not difficult to close the lid on a full bag without either losing volume or misaligning the lid such that it leaks. It is possible to twist the lid into the closed position without it closing correctly, but when this happens it is obvious because the lid is not flush with the surrounding plastic rim and handle. The quick attach hose is very convenient, easy to drain for storage, and allows me to more easily use a pack that has a small hose opening through which it is difficult to thread a mouthpiece. I like this system, I have three of them in different sizes, and I have had no problems with leakage. The drying arms work well if you take the trouble to manually compress the sides and open the bladder to air.

Rated4out of5byDavid RobertsonfromIt's not perfectThe reservoir is hard to seal properly. If you don't get it JUST right it will leak. I hadn't used a Camelback in years and assumed they had improved over the years, but they haven't. If you can wrestle the cap into place, just so, while it's full of water, without spilling, you're home free.

Rated5out of5byTruthtreasurerfromBest customer service ever!Just wanted to add to the review I previously wrote - Camelbak responded in record time sending me not one but two additional yellow S dryer clips to help with drying out my hydration pack since the one I purchased was missing this. Has this ever been a HUGE help! Honestly I am using this daily and it's holding up great! And after receiving such great customer help you better believe I'll be purchasing more of these! Great company standing behind a great product. I highly recommend!

Rated4out of5byTruthtreasurerfromGreat Reservoir!I use this reservoir nearly every single day and am very pleased with it! I'm a little concerned about how to best clean it - it seems the tube won't empty completely of water no matter how hard I blow through it after using and detaching it- but since I use it every day I'm hoping that will help keep any bacteria at bay. I did find out the one I purchased at REI came new missing the folding dryer arms so I'm trying to get this from the company - so that may totally help resolve the cleaning/drying out issue. But I will say I am very pleased with this purchase! I've used it both for hiking as well as biking - I just switched to a recumbent bike and place the reservoir in a pack that hangs on the back of the bike. I've had no problems at all with either the reservoir, tube or valve leaking. I highly recommend this!
