With warmer weather arriving in Texas, I needed a more light weight and breathable yet durable hiking pants. To be honest, the Kuhl Revolvr nailed it in all categories. Although they do not have any cargo pockets (that's for your pack), the light weight, soft feel (yet durable material) and great fit all work well together.

These pants are paradoxical: They are lightweight and easy to move around in but are reinforced and durable like jeans. I use them for rock-climbing but also for church. They are a comfortable cotton pant but dry quickly and breath well. I have lived in these pants for nearly 2+ years (everyday) and the only "wear" that I have noticed is fading from an olive color to a green/gray. I recently bought a new pair for traveling. I highly recommend them.

I went to REI to look for these pants first but it gave me an opportunity to try them on for size. I usually take a 34 length and a 32 waist, but I swithced it around and got a 34 waist and a 32 length since they did not have a 34 length option at the REI outlet. This did the trick as now they are a little longer and looser and they fit great. They are the most comfortable pants that I own. I have to wear BDU's and 511's a lot but these are way more comfortable. Good buy too.

These pants fit great and the design is well thought out. The one major flaw is the fabric used literally starts to shred apart in any area that receives any bending or movement. I really wanted them to be great but they just fell apart after little usage. Initially it was the pockets splitting, then knees, then upper area near waist. For this price just get Carharts. I have cheapo jeans that have lasted longer than these.

I bought these as pants for a trek and they will probably replace jeans for me, good style, fit comfort, durable and can be rinsed and dried in a pinch. The shape held well even after being on the trail as a sole pair of pants for 12 days. There will be more Kuhl in my future.

I love everything about these pants save one thing. What is with the fly? There is an internal flap and button that makes fly use for using the toilet almost impossible without having to drop trow. I call it my chastity fly. I can't imagine a guy ever tested these by wearing them and then using the toilet. Having said that, its more of a comical annoyance than anything.

I see some product reviews here that complain about the Vintage Patina Dye that Kuhl uses. It is designed to fade, and says so on all the hangtags! It shows your authentic character!
As for the Revolvr themselves, hands down an awesome pant. I learned about them from a world travling photojournalist, and bought three pairs at once. They have exceeded my expectations. A bit of a difference in fit then the KUHL JEAN, for a true town to trail pant. Love them and the Kuhl fade vintage dye. I'll buy more of Kuhl in the future.

Rarely am I overly impressed with a product, but I have to say that I feel that way about the Revolvr pant. With my work I am outside in the just about every type of weather including the hot and humid Virginia summers. These pants are ideal. They are extremely comfortable and lightweight making them perfect for those looking for something other than heavy cotton/denim pant.
They pack extremely tight and look good wash after wash without having that "I can barely fit into them" after taking them out of the dryer. I am ordering several more pairs today as I only have one pair right now and I am getting tired of washing them every other day, so that I can wear them 90% of the time.
