The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
prAna Stretch Zion Pants - Men's 30" Inseamis rated4.7895out of5by19.
Rated5out of5byMikafromThe coolest climbing and hiking pants...and by "coolest" I mean these look good. But their performance is the best part about them. They are lightweight but quite durable for rock climbing. They also have just enough stretch in them to allow for any kind of movement on the rock. The snap buttons that keep your cuffs up when you roll them are a nice and helpful touch.
I have used (and liked) a bunch of other pants for climbing over the years, but these are hands-down the best. I have two pairs now and will probably get more.

Rated4out of5byMacDoofusfromLove my Zion pantsI love the Zion line (I own three pants and two shorts). I actual wear these to work (instead of regular khakis), for travel, yoga and climbing. I like that there is no need for a belt (such an easy fit and going through airport security checks is a breeze).
I wish they were vented more or made to be more breathable as they get hot if it gets warm out or when I'm doing a lot of moving around. Prana...please add a few zipout vents and these would be perfect. It would go from 4 stars to 5 stars.

Rated5out of5byWestiferfromGreat all around pants!I love these pants! I got my first pair about a year ago and loved them so much I got another a few months back. I've been lucky enough to pick mine at during REI sales but even at full price while they are spendy they are worth it. I go climbing in them regularly and they hold up great both on the gym wall and at the crag. They are now my go to hiking pants, the only time I don't wear them is the summer when I want to be wearing shorts. Just yesterday I was snowshoeing with them and stayed plenty warm with a craft baselayer/long underwear on.

Rated5out of5byRicemgfromBest pants everThe only problem with these pants is that they make all other pants seem like garbage. These are truly the most comfortable pants I've ever owned.
I purchased these for an upcoming 3 week trip to Cambodia/Vietnam. I wanted something light weight, quick drying and good looking and I found them. These and a pair of short are all I plan on taking pants-wise. These will wash great in the sink and dry quick.
I've never paid this much for a pair of pants, but I have no regrets whatsoever.

Rated5out of5byninjarunnerfromComfortable, stretchy, durableI was looking for some good climbing pants, something better than regular gym shorts for climbing both indoors and outdoors.
I have the shorts, convertible pants, and regular pants of the Prana Zion line and they are by far my favorite pieces of clothing, especially for climbing. They are stretchy, durable, and extremely comfortable to wear. They also look simple enough to wear as everyday pants, or for hiking too. Highly recommended and I'd buy more if I needed to.

Rated5out of5byshadowdog1frommy favorite pants for everythingThese are the most comfortable pants I've ever owned. I wear them for hiking and camping, plus work, even church! The stretch makes them so comfortable, it's amazing. When bending down, squatting, running--they move with you, not against you.
They are surprisingly cool in the heat. You can roll them up calf-high, but I find that I don't need to do that, even in the desert heat. (can't speak to humid heat) They also seem warm when it's cool, and are pretty good windstoppers.
I no longer use my convertible pants, which always hit my thigh at the wrong position as shorts, and were baggy.
--stretch fabric moves with you
--narrower cut is more stylish (I put function ahead of style, but hey, style is a bonus!)
--can pull them over shoes (but not boots)
--cinch belt eliminates need for traditional belt
--no belt buckle
--left rear pocket has no velcro--I like that: easy to get my wallet out
--right rear pocket locks in wallet without using velcro, if you prefer
--cargo pocket has two access zippers
--roll up snaps let you wade across streams or ventilate
--quiet: no nylon pants swish
--so far, they shed dirt and stains very well
--only one cargo pocket (I do like pockets)
--not as cool as actual shorts (duh)
--can't pull on over boots (no biggie)
--the cinch strap hangs down in front. I usually tuck it inside the waist. Not a big deal, but sometimes people glance at it, as it looks unusual if it's hanging down.
Side note #1: the brown pants don't match the color in the REI photo. They are closer to the brown square on the left side of the REI screen under "Colors." They look more like "dress slacks brown" to me.
Side note #2: I ordered two pairs, and my puppy chewed the plastic buckle off one pair before I even wore them! prAna had me mail them the pants, and a couple weeks later, they sent back a pair of pants as good as new!
Side note #3: I've worn them daily for five months so far, including two pack trips and many hikes. So far they have proven quite durable--no holes or rips.

Rated5out of5byJustineRenefromExcellent for Hot Humid Dirty WorkBought these for my fiance to wear for work. He is an electrician doing mostly outdoor construction in Guam. For those who don't know: Guam is HOT. Weather is 85-89ºF daily with humidity like you wouldn't believe and hardly any wind. It rains often and it is torrential rain.
After wearing dickies work pants for a few weeks he asked me to get him quick drying "climbing pants". So I did my research and found these. He'll never stop thanking me. He used to come home soaking wet, dank, and chaffed. Now he stays dry even after a torrential rain.
These pants seem very durable because he kneels a lot and is generally very rough with his clothing, and they have held up well. As for stains, well that's pretty much a lost cause. I could see how the fabric would be stain resistant to common spills or dirt, but nothing can resist the red clay soils of Guam. Purchased the Khaki colored pants but they are now stained red.
Sizing was perfect but I'm glad I read other reviews. Purchased the Small 30"inseam, he Usually wears 30"waist, 32"inseam, but from other reviews the 32"inseam is too long on shorter guys.
The only thing I would change is to add an antimicrobial factor to the fabric. But otherwise he loves these pants and I will be buying him a backup pair.
