      I wore this hat for about 2000 miles of hiking on the CDT. One of my favorite things about it compared to other hats is the ability to crush it and toss it in my backpack if I wanted too. Some other hats with a thick stiff brim just wouldn't be able to do that.

      Great hat to help keep the sun off of your ears and face. The removable chin strap as well as the shock cord loop around that hat do an excellent job of keeping the had on your head in high winds if you're walking through a windy desert.
