The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated1out of5byramenfromDefects & horrible tech supportProduct had two defects when we received it. Unfortunately it was over a year until we noticed the second, more severe one.
One of the three lock cylcinders was defective. We tried contacting Thule via their support web page. The procedure is that you first submit your issue via the web page. You then get a reply via email. The remaining discussin is contducted via email. But Thule's email system was completely broken. All replies to the first email from Thule are silently dropped. We never resolved this issue. We didn't persue it further (e.g. contact them via phone) because the locking mechanism is not that effective for this rack anyway. Get a cable lock if you intend to leave bikes unattended on this rack.
The second issue was that there was a small tear in the foam cover of one of the bars that clamps over the top tube of a bicycle. It was on the inside of the curve to the hook so we didn't see it. Then we started to notice pits in the top tube of one of our bicycles. We couldn't figure out what might cause that so we assumed they must either be a defect in the bike or perhaps chips from road debris after a cross-country trip. After we noticed a similar problem with a second bike we began to suspect the rack. We found the hidden tear and by pulling it open could see the scraping and rust on the bar underneath where it was contacting the bike frame.

Rated4out of5bytrailgorillafromCarries many different bike frames.Great carrier for "non-standard frames", i.e. beach, kids, mountain, hybrid bikes. We use water pipe foam insulation on the angled cross tube. It helps to keep hold down clamp really secure. Just make sure that the pipe wrap is long enough to make contact with your seat post tube so it won't side down. The rack and bike are now bullet proof! We've had the rack for two years, so far so good.

Rated4out of5bydgdfromThule Double track 2 bike hitchThule has a better locking system to the car on some ot its other bike racks. I really like the one that simply has a dial which you tighten and then lock. This one has a lock also, it works but not as good. Wish I had the other locking system.

Rated5out of5byebeaverfromHolds every bike I've triedI've used many different types and brands of racks over the years. This ranks up there with the top ones because of the quality and function. I can't vouch for the 1 1/4" to 2" receiver adapter, I have a 1 1/4" receiver on my vehicle (Forester). The rack installs easily. It's easy to load my $4k bike or my 6 yr old son's bike. I only buy racks that I trust to hold my beloved bikes and I would definitely buy this one again. It comes with everything you need.

Rated5out of5byULV ThrowerfromGreat Bike Rack for Lexus RX 350Used on a 2013 Lexus RX 350 and the rack fit great. When in use, the bikes don't get close to touching the car. There is a little sway to the bikes that you can see in your rear view mirror, but they are very stable. Took them out on the freeway for our first trip and some bumpy roads...all with no problems. This is a solid bike rack that works with all sized bikes. I am 6'5" and have a large Giant mountain bike...this rack works with it no problem. It also works with my wife's smaller angled neck frame. Don't bother with more expensive racks, this one will work great...believe me!

Rated4out of5byeDDuBBfromGreat produce built to lastVery nice and stable hitch carrier. Some assembly is required out of the box and the rack it all of 40 pounds. It comes with three locks which secures the carrier to the car and the bikes to the carrier so everything stays put. Once mounted and snugged, the carrier is very stable. The folding arm can stick; however, you can back the through bolt off a turn or two and the action improves significantly. Overall, very nice and easy to use.
