Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Multisport Shoes - Men's:
I normally wear mine around the house. They are a great relief after wearing steel toe boots all day. They also help in conditioning the muscles in my feet for my distance running and playing basketball.

i have a pair of vibrams that i LOVE and use all the time for running and working out as well as for just wearing around every day. i wanted another pair that i could use just for every day use. i was hoping these would be the ones (i liked that they were simply black), but when i wore them around the house for a little bit i noticed that the tab at the back of the heel rubbed badly on my achilles and was very uncomfortable. unfortunately, i had to return them because i think that if i wore them walking around for a long period of time they would rub my achilles raw!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Multisport Shoes - Men's:
These are great for walking around town, hiking (although slippery), and crossing rivers (but NOT swimming).
They slip off easily if you try treading water at all, so do not wear them rafting if you plan on falling out of the raft. I wore them in Costa Rica through slippery terrain, rivers, and rocks, and it was perfect for that that. Hiking is possible (and superior) if you are excellent at barefoot/sandals style hiking (not for everyone).
I imagine they would be terrible on grass, because they are completely slick on the bottom (like the bottom of your foot).

This new pair replaces an old pair that are pretty worn out after two years of steady use (although I still wear them!). The fit is great right out of the box...just like barefooting, but protected from hot pavements, rocks, glass, etc.
I have a couple of the other styles as well. Wouldn't dream of going hiking without them...they're the best, most comfortable shoes ever. It does take a while to get used to them, but once you do...you won't want to wear anything else!

Several friends have five fingers and since I hate shoes I decided to try a pair. They are really different. They are great at the gym, I think they make you use way more leg muscles. Around town concrete is pretty hard and I only ware them out for short periods of time. They are very comfortable and its easy to forget they are on. Also be preparted to get some strange looks at your feet.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Multisport Shoes - Men's:
I bought these because the word around the camp fire is that they help with arch support. I like different types of shoe's so I thought why not.
No sooner did i get these that I was added as a plus one on a Grand Canyon over night camping trip. mind you I have not been on a extended hike or camping trip in a year. I hiked over six miles in these shoes with sixty plus pounds of REI gear on my back(dumb but I didn't know what to expect). I made it most of the way.
The only reason I had to take them off is they make my legs hurt in places I didn't know could hurt. These shoes exercise muscles that normally don't get used. I wouldn't recommend these for such a long aggressive walk, but I did mostly fine... with a much more rugged pair(which I'm going to get) I would gladly do the entire twenty miles in five fingers.
Solid shoe, does not wear out fast. You do get alot of looks and questions with so much foot exposed... and alot of people have made comments like "nice ballet slipper" but I don't mind... I love these shoes and will wear them all winter. They correct my posture and I've seen a size difference in my calf muscles as well as definition.
Walking is now fun. I would highly recommend getting these if your on the fence.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Multisport Shoes - Men's:
These vibrams are very easy to put on, and of course easy to take off. They fit great, and have good traction. After wearing these around for over 10minutes, I realized they are hurting the tops of my feet by scratching around the rim. Still, I hope to get used to them and use them for rocky/grassy terrain or rafting.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Multisport Shoes - Men's:
The Vibram Five Finger (VFF) Classics are the original minimalist shoe. The "minimalist" footwear market has exploded in the last few years, and there are a lot of great offerings out there now. Vibram themselves now offer a dizzying array of FF shoes, ranging from redundant to simply bizarre, and there is stiff competition from Merrell and New Balance. But the these are still the best. They are simple, unbelievable comfortable, relatively inexpensive, and simulate being barefoot unlike any other. While you will generate some attention as a result of their atypical shape, the Classics color scheme and design is simple and restrained. For day to day use, the Classics also remain the most practical, comfortable, and minimal. They slip right on, cinch down, and you're off to enjoy feeling light on your feet and in touch with your terrain. Whether you're going for a new max weight on the deadlift, walking your dog through the park on a summer afternoon, or want some extra grip on the deck while sailing, these versatile shoes are unlike any other and will change the way you approach your favorite activity for the better. Sometimes you get more with less, and this is definitely one of those times.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Multisport Shoes - Men's:
I bought these when they first came out and they felt great in the store but was worried because my second toe is longer than my big toe (Morton's Toe) and that's not the way these are designed. I ran in them for a couple of months including a local 5k. I also wore them casually quite often. However, the longer I wore them the more uncomfortable they became as the second toe was always compressed. Now they're sitting in the bottom of the closet and I'll be looking at the minimalist/barefoot shoes that are out now. I'm disappointed because I desperately wanted these to work.
So, if you have "regular" toes, go for it I'd recommend them. If not, look elsewhere until there's a Vibram Morton.
