My Border Collie loves it!This is a GREAT doggie sweater!
I have a 3 year old Border Collie mix that is skinny and always cold. He's 45 lbs, but has a small barrel - so we got him a medium according to the sizing chart, and it was a tad bit big but seemed to work for him. We live in Portland, Oregon, so it's not Alaska cold, but nights when it gets around 30 he starts shivering on our nightly walks, also when we go to Mt Hood on the weekend and do some snow hiking. I have also used it as an overnight sweater while camping to keep Pip out of my sleeping bag but warm enough by himself.
Pippin and I love this sweater. He's very, very active - the cloud chaser jacket overheated him because all he does is run. This seems to breathe well enough for him to enjoy himself but not overheat. When we get home from the snow, we hang the sweater up to dry and it's ready within a few hours for him to snuggle in.
I have used it in the snow for when we go hiking and it doesn't get soaked (granted, we stay on pre-packed paths) and I also love that I can see him from far away in his lichen green sweater. It's just enough - the perfect thickness - to keep him warm. It washes well and has never shrunk.
It is well worth the money in my opinion - and Ruff Wear really stands behind their products, which I always appreciate.

Great PurchaseI have two boxers and I have to keep them outside. I bought these for the cold nights right now. They love them. They don't give me any problems when putting them on, nor do they try to bite them off. They look really cute and snuggley in them.

Good fitting fleece jacketPicked up an extras small jacket for my miniature schnauzer. he is 20.5 inches around the chest and it fits very well - just snug enough to keep him warm and stay in place. I like the "arm" holes because they keep the jacket in place. The last jacket we used kept slipping to the side which "Eddie Haskel" really did not like.

Fits like a glove!I have a an all white pit bull, she has very little fur. The fur she does have is thin and mostly on her back. From the chin all the way down to her tummy is bald, tiny bit of peach fuzz. She shivers on cool days and on cold windy day I have to force her outside. She is medium in size, about 60 lbs. I tried many coats and sweaters before I found this, most other brands don't cover her chest or are designed for much smaller breads. I swear this is custom made for my dog. It fits perfect around the neck, chest and tummy. The back covers to her tail just like it should. She loves to wear it too, when I take it off her, she wants it back on!

Great Cold Weather GearI bought the Ruffwear coat for my 17 year old pointer because he doesn't have a lot of fat or the tolerance for cold that he used to. Just spent 5 days in the desert with temperatures at low as 16 degrees and when I slid my hand underneath the jacket he was toasty warm. Actually i had to pull it of when he made his way into the sleeping bag because he was too warm.
The coat is easy to get on and off, and he can do his duty without any issues. Good boy!

Short on the back endMy 13-yr.-old dog is 85 lbs., lean and long, and arthritic. This coat goes on easily when she's standing or lying down, and stays put until I take it off. Even though she's skinny and old, one Ruff Wear coat is usually enough in the New England cold. (When it's frigid, you can put the Quinzee Down coat over the Climate Changer or the Cloud Chaser.)
It also washes easily. I have to dry it in the dryer (the directions say not to) or the dog hair won't come off, but I haven't had a problem doing this.
My dog already has a Cloud Chaser in size large that fits her to a tee. The Climate Changer is also size large, but too short. It is fitted in the rear, but does not cover her bum to keep it warm.
I expected the same size coat from the same manufacturer to fit the same way. That's my only gripe. Other than that, I've been very happy with Ruff Wear dog coats.

great dog sweater!This is the perfect layer for an older dog (13) with short hair - he gets cold in winter, shivering even inside the house. This fleece sweater is perfect and fits him perfectly. He doesn't seem to know he's wearing it. Easy to put on over front legs and good quality zipper that doesn't stick or catch.
