Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
These are comfortable, but they tend to ride up all the time. I have always used ExOfficio Give-N-Go Briefs, but decided to try these because they looked very comfortable and were 2 dollars cheaper. Since I have always trusted REI branded clothing, I didn't suspect that this one would be anything but a winner.
But it turned out to be a bad decision. Forget hiking and sports, I can't even wear them to office without the constant riding up that happens. It make me very uncomfortable the whole time I am wearing it. The material is comfortable, that's the only good thing I can say. But I highly recommend against buying it. Go with the ExOfficio.

Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
Comfortable enough, except the too thick waste band. Dryes out well in a dry environment such as the Sierras, but it does not dry out overnight in a hotel room or damp environment.

Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
I agree with the comment about riding up. The old fabric was great and I wish I had bought several more. The new fabric will not stay out of places you don't want it. Unfortunately, the two pair I bought wound up in the donation pile. I'm a big REI fan but these were not a hit…

Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
REI brand lasts longer than ex-officio brand. REI brand most comfortable (for me). Have several pair of both brands.

If you like pulling your underwear out of your crack every five minutes, these are for you!
REI - please bring back the old fabric and design.

Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
The fabric is very soft. I like the matching waistband. The leg openings are too big and sometimes ride up. They wash up well, they dry by the next morning.

Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
I use these strictly for sweat-inducing aerobic exercise, so my evaluation pertains to that type of use, not as regular underwear (I wear cotton briefs for that). These are lighter than a previous version of REI sports briefs, and they provide better support for "my boys." Unlike some other brands I have worn, the waist band is nice and soft, while secure enough to keep the briefs from slipping. This is the most comfortable wicking brief I have worn, and the support is just right. I hope REI keeps making these exactly like they are now! (But I know that is probably a vain hope.)

Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
I tried these as an alternate to Ex Officio travel briefs, but until REI works on the elastic (or whatever), these things will continue to ride up, making them very uncomfortable.

Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
Had a couple pairs of older style - more open-mesh style fabric, great breathability. The new style is much less comfortable in hot or high-energy activity, which is kinda the point, right?

Comments about REI Briefs - Men's:
Underwear are awesome. Great feel to them. If they didn't ride so bad up I wouldn't be returning all of them. I should have listened to the reviews. 5'7" 150lb.
Service and delivery comments:
Rei's shipping is boring. It just shows up when it is supposed too. There are no suprises or problems.
