SureFire A2L Aviator LED Flashlightis rated1.0out of5by1.
Rated1out of5byOverlanderfromWaste of monryThis light is a joke. Surefire make some good lights, but there are far superior brands for far less money. This thing puts out 120 lumens for a $300+ light, for $300 you can get lights that output 1800-2000 lumens and are waterproof, shockproof, etc, etc. I'm ex Special Forces (USAF Para Rescue) and now I work in the private sector and with first responders (Fire, EMS, etc). My EDC light is a Foursevens Quark Pro, they'll run you about $60 give or take, it has moonlight mode that last 25 days, low, med, high, (high is 2x brighter than this light with much longer burn time), then max which is 360 lumens. So for 1/4 the price, you get 3x the output, and with better construction. There's also two emergency beacon modes, an SOS mode, and strobe. I have a tiny FOursevens Quark Mini X on my keychain that puts out 210 lumens on a single battery and it's the size of a chapstick. I own many Foursevens lights, Jetbeams, Olights, Fenix, Surefire, and others... Surefire are usually the poorest performer with the greatest expense. THis is like the Bose headphones of the flashlight world, mediocre product at a premium price. Do some research folks, you'll find much better products than this and you'll save a huge chunk of cash in the process.
