Comments about OluKai Moloa Shoes - Men's:
This is a great all-around casual shoe. It goes great with tans and blacks because of the color scheme. I get compliments all the time. I enjoy wearing them so much, I have to take them off when working around the house so I don't ruin them. They are more comfortable than my house slippers! Durability not yet determined, I've only had them two months. Doing great so far.
Service and delivery comments:
I purchased them in-store. The service was excellent. Store clerk was intelligent and well-versed on the brand and attributes of the shoe.

Comments about OluKai Moloa Shoes - Men's:
I have worn this shoe pretty much every single day for the last 3.5 years. When i bought it, based on the reviews it mentioned it ran a half size bigger. I usually wear a 9.5 (casual/formal)/10 (hiking shoes). But 9.5 was a little loose, so went with a 9. Initally it felt a little tight, but the leather borke in really well. There was never discomfort. This is THE MOST COMFORTABLE shoe i have owned. I have worn it and exposed it to extreme conditions not intentionally, like hiking, extreme muddy conditions, snow, water. I have never polished it, or put any leather care product ever. When it got dirty, i used a wet cloth to wipe it off, no issues...not that i am recommending not to care for the shoes, if you can you should, i just got careless but the shoes did not disspoint me.
The upper leather even after all this exposure still looks great, the sole is ofcourse worn out, the rubber is getting to the point of being smooth, the olukai signs at the bottom is pretty worn out.
The insert is worn out and does not provide the same level of snug that a new insert would provide, and i realised that when i tried a new pair recently, as i am back in the market to buy another pair of these shoes.
They look great on jeans, and i have lost count on the number of compliments i have gotten while wearing these.
I rarely used the heel flip, to use as slippers, and when i say rarely, i can count on my finger tips the number of times i used it as slippers. I felt the stitching might not hold well, so rather than testing it, i choose not to utlise that function of the shoes. I have slippers for that.
If you like comfort, easy slip on and great looking design, you will not make a mistake with this.
Concerning the size, once the shoe breaks in, the fit will loosen up. So a new shoe will fit well with just normal sport socks, once it loosens up, in my case its current state after 4 years if i wear hiking socks with these shoes, it fits tight. You can wear a new shoes barefoot and it looks great!!

I was looking for a pair of black casual shoes that are stylish enough to wear to work or out in the city but casual and comfortable enough to wear on the weekend. Basically a versatile shoe. I was going to get another pair of Merrell slip ons, but when I saw these at REI while shopping for an upcoming trip I tried them on and instantly loved the fit, feel and look.
I haven't had them long enough to tout their durability as some other reviewers here, but so far they don't feel flimsy. I tend to wear through shoes faster than the average person and so far Merrells and sometimes Keens are the only things that stand up at all when it comes to casual shoes. I am hoping Olukai performs as well because they make very good looking shoes and comfortable to boot.
The REI employee who went out back to find me a pair of 12s (they didn't carry half sizes, I asked for an 11.5) said he had multiple customers come in asking if they sold just the insole of the shoe, and two of them bought the shoes just for the insoles. That is how comfortable and well made the insoles on these shoes are. They're much higher quality than even the Patagonia (another high quality company) insole which is just a flimsy foam insert in comparison. These shoes are very comfortable and for flat boatshoe style shoes have great arch support and cushioning.
I also can't be happier with the styling. These are some of the best looking casual shoes I have ever owned. They look amazing with jeans.
The only weird thing is that the sole is a combination of leather, with rubber treads sticking through the leather and i feel like while the leather would stand up over time it seems strange and adds risk of water leaking in or just damaging it. It looks really nice though so I wouldn't necessarily change that.
The only cons are: They are pretty pricy for what they are. 10-20 dollars less would have been quite welcome, they don't really match up to anything else at REI price wise, even Merrells which are not cheap are not nearly as expensive. Also, if you step in a puddle that is more than .5-.75 inches deep, you may get wet toes. They're okay in the rain, but avoid the puddles.
(NOTE: I don't consider the widness a con, because I have slightly wide feet. They aren't EE width though, probably just single E. They do seem to run half a size too long though)

These shoes have been great!! Cant wait for the weekends when I generally wear these. They go everywhere and you don't have to worry about them getting scuffed the more you wear them the more comfortable they get. I got them true to size, I am generally a wide shoe anyway so these fit great.

I tried these on and declared that they were the most comfortable shoes ive ever tried on. i had to buy a half size bigger for wear w/ socks in the winter. Thought i wouldnt use the rear fold down flap for clog style wear..yet i do it all the time. great for airport travel when you have to remove shoes at TSA checkpoint. They do get a bit smelly after long wear w/o socks (equal fault of my feet!) now i covet the flip flops. great shoes!

Comments about OluKai Moloa Shoes - Men's:
Reviewers' comments about size of shoe are all accurate -- shoe is wide and built at least 1/2 size large. I'm a 9 1/2-10 in shoe size and purchased a 9 1/2. The shoe is too large in length (foot slides out of shoe) and quite wide (guessing EE width certainly not the standard D width). I can't comment on durability since out of the box the shoe size is all off. The build of the sole has a slight curve or last (something I look for or actually avoid in my running shoes). Ordinarily, this sort of last tends to result in some pronation. The instep of the shoe is not flat and has some support, which is good. But this curved or semi-last build to the sole could result in over-pronation if you tend to pronate when you walk (or run). I wonder why manufacturers build shoes let alone loafers with a last like this. Straight soled shoes do the job and won't affect the gait of a pronator or someone with an ordinary gait. These are general comments not specific to any experience I've had with this shoe but when you're buying a shoe on the internet, the fundamental structure of the shoe may not be for everyone. No doubt, if the shoe fits, wear it. But, I'm guessing this shoe isn't for everyone.

I did research on these shoes for a couple weeks, and finally pulled the trigger on them. They are super comfortable. All the reviews that I've read say they are a half size off, in my case I wear a size 12 in running shoes and ended up with a 11 1/2 Moloa.
These are just super comfortable. Even as a slide on with the heel part down, you don't notice the back part of it.
It is still to early to tell how well they will stand up to daily wear and tear, but these shoes are far from lazy.
