Great face covering for the ski slopes and then I put it back in my hair like a head band. I love it!! I've used it hiking and skiing. Washes easily and has lasted well so far. I actually bought a 2nd one.

I mainly use this thing when I'm riding around in cold weather (cold for Arizona, anyway). It protects well against wind so my ears, nose, neck and lips don't get cold. I wear it according to what I want to protect on my face, so it has a variety of uses and levels of wearability. I don't get too warm with it on, because it breathes well and wicks away moisture.

I keep it in my bag at all times and even if I don't use it as a face protector, I can use it to mop off my forehead after getting off my bike.

My only issue with it is it sometimes causes my glasses to fog up when I'm stopped at a light. It kind of funnels my breath upward and then I can't see, so I usually end up breathing downward as effectively as possible. But, that's not really a design flaw, that's just a hazard of wearing glasses. So if you wear glasses, heads up. That might happen.

Overall, great product though, highly recommended.

I used this as a balaclava to go under my helmet while snowmobiling in Yellowstone. It worked great, although it was a little loose and really long when compared to the other buff I own. I think the length helped keep my neck warm, but I wish it fit a little tighter.

I bought two poly pro buffs for family members and they love them. I spend more time in the cold so I bought the wool version. It is light, takes up minimal space in a pocket and adds enough warmth to take the edge off a biting wind or very cool to cold temperatures. The material is very comfortable next to the skin and can be worn in conjunction with a cap to increase the warmth. It also holds it shape well. You would probably want something thicker for extreme cold or Arctic conditions. Very good multi-use item; worth every penny.
