      Used this on a 2004 Highlander SUV. Great Roof Box. Internal Reinforcing Ribs on the top part of roof box separates this from the comparable size/price Thule roof box, and was the final decision for us purchasing this roof box.

      Our intention was to use it perhaps 5 times a year, and for the rest of the time we store this on the ceiling of our garage with a kayak ceiling pulley set capable of 100 lbs. Getting this on the car requires two people, but the fully adjustable sliding clamps make this an ease to attach to any car in under 5 minutes.

      The roof box construction is fantastic, having REI and Yakima back the warranty is invaluable, and the sturdy construction of the box means I won't hesitate to put everything I can into the roof box so that the cabin area of my car is left for what it's meant: people, friends, and pets.

      Service and delivery comments:

      I picked this up at my local REI store, and they let me inspect it, and also took care of the cardboard box that it comes in.

          I love this thing. It is easy to mount on your vehicle, easy to load and easy to lock. It mounts easily to my factory rails that are about 3 inches wide. It is sturdy and seems to be quite durable. I just took it on a 900 mile trip. It was stable up to 95mph on my MDX. It would probly be stable at higher speeds, I just didn't go any faster. I really couldn't even tell it was up there. Part of the trip I went through a lot of rain but not a lot of cross wind. No leaks, no problems, I am glad I purchased the big one. This thing holds so much stuff and it is only 7 1/2 feet tall on my car. This thing looks good and it looks like it was made for my car. I love this thing and I wonder why I didn't own one sooner. If you travel and have kids I highly recommend it.
