        It works great as a camp pillow, whether backpacking or car camping. Don't drive around with a big pillow, or worse, forget your pillow at home. Instead leave this will your camping gear and you always have a pillow.

        Lighter, takes less space, and more comfortable than a compact pillow, so this is one you want.

        But it's a joke to buy it as a stuff sack, because then you'd need to find a place for the "stuff" you were carrying around in it as you sleep. But it works great as a pillow, so just don't get distracted by thinking it's a stuff sack.

        I recommend filling it with a fleece, as that's the most comfortable filler, and you would bring a fleece with you anyways when camping. Other types of clothes are often too flat, but can work in a pinch.

        This is the pillow you want.

          I was looking for a replacement stuff sack for my son's REI Kindercone sleeping bag. I love my Kelty sleeping bag stuff sack - fleecy on the inside so it can double as a pillow and this sounded similar. The packaging on both the Small and Large Therm-a-rest Stuff Sack Pillows says they accommodate a sleeping bag. Not so much. I could not squeeze my son's sleeping bag into the large.

          This bag is super light and the material on the inside is very soft and comfortable. My only complain about it is that the nylon shell is really loud. If you shift at all in your sleep you will hear it.

            I originally purchased this for a 3 day backpacking trip to use as a pillow, which worked perfectly. I have loved it so much that its my go-to bag/pillow for many car trips as well. Its large enough that it can fit (1) 3xl sweatshirt and a few shirts in. but still be flexible enough to reverse and use it as a pillow without busting the seams. The inside of the bag is soft perfect for sleeping either on long trips in the car or the outdoors.

              I decided to try this out when I was looking for a pillow to go with my hammock camping set I am constructing. I wanted it to be lightweight, & comfortable.

              I really like this product. I like that it is multi-purpose (stuff sack & pillow). It only adds about 1 oz to a traditional stuff sack. It is comfortable (I used a PrimaLoft Puffy Jacket inside it on my test night). It had good insulation under my head. It did not shift around in my hammock.

              All in all, an excellent item.
