      I've had two of these for over a year and they have been very useful and functional. I love the purple color which stands out well against my luggage and has always made it easy to spot my bags on the carousel.

      I travel every few months for work and sprinkle in a few personal trips throught the year. The straps have been quite durable, remain secure on my luggage, and simple to use. I would recommend these to anyone!

          I took the strap out of the packaging and when I compressed the sides to unsnap the buckle, one of the prongs broke off. I couldn't believe how little pressure it too to snap the plastic, so I pushed with medium-light pressure on the other side and it also snapped off. I'm a huge fan of REI products, but these straps are junk. Now I have to travel without straps on my bags and figure out a time to run back to the store to return them. Frustrating.

            My suitcase is black and this made it easily identifiable on the airport baggage carousel. After a 7 hour flight that included two transfers, it was still as tightly clipped as when I checked it.
