    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Keen Voyageur Mid Hiking Boots - Men's is rated 4.125 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great fit, but poor performance I loved the fit right out of the box. Comfortable, good support, soft yet good protection from rock hits, and good ankle support. Traction on rock was excellent, even when wet. For the first week of a month-long trip on the Appalachian Trail they felt great, fit well, and were comfortable. Unfortunately, on the first pair, the uppers on both boots began to separate from the soles almost immediately. It appeared the glue holding the fabric uppers to the rubber welds quickly broke down. I returned them for an immediate replacement pair (Thank You REI!). The second pair began to do the same thing after less than 1 week on the trail. Multiple rounds of shoe goop were required at each resupply stop to keep them from totally falling apart. Daily, I found new places where the soles were peeling apart or the uppers were coming unstitched. Within two weeks the heel cushions began breaking down and peeling apart, and lacing guides blew out. Bottom line - two pairs in a row began to disintegrate with only a few days on the trail under average conditions. Early on, they fit well and were very comfortable, but they quickly broke down and became very uncomfortable. Maybe it was just my bad luck, two pairs in a row, but in my experience these boots didn't hold up for long to average trail conditions. I'll be looking to other brands for my next pair of trail shoes. The poor quality I received in these Keens just wasn't worth the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfy but bad build When I went shopping for boots I didn't want to go too cheap and found these. When I put them on, it was heaven. I have a wide foot and they seemed to be a bit wider than other boots which is great by me. After logging about 12 hours in and out of a creek bed hike. When I got home, the left shoe's fabric was seperated from the rubber sole. I found it a bit odd that it was in that poor condition. I took it back to REI and they made me get glue goop but I doubt that will fair any better. Bottom line, I love the fit and feel but the quality doesn't seem to be there. You might have better luck but I'm goin to go back to get a bit better quality ones.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so Keen on them. The shoe is good for average hiking at best. Don't do any rock hopping or anything off the well maintained trail or the soles will begin to peal off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unimpressed... Feels great - wore fine in the store. On first day of wear, rear assist loop sewn to Achilles area of the heel had stitching failure when I was putting them on. The rest of the boot may be bombproof, but at this point I have no confidence when considering the other negative feedback on these boots. These are going back to the store and it'll take a lot to put me in a pair of Keen boots in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Far So Good I used these to hike Big & Little Kennnesaw Mountains which is a 5.4 mile round trip up steep grades (intense cardio) and at times very rocky. The boots handled well, felt as if they were already broken in, and offered excellent foot/ankle support. As for how they look, they seem to look like they slide somewhat toward the inside. Other than that, they performed well on their first hike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight hiking boot I've used these boots for day hikes and off trail hiking in the mountains. Great ankle support on uneven ground. Lightweight and breath well. I did buy some "superfeet" insoles for the extra arch and impact support, but would put those in any boots I wear. Would definately buy these hiking boots again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Summer boots Bought these to use for day hikes and outings with my family. Got my pair in the mail and all was well. Noticed on the first extended use, that the sole was separating from the upper, so I exchanged them for another pair a size smaller. I will see how these perform for me. These are the 6th pair of Keen's I've owned and am a little surprised that they didn't hold up better. I will continue to buy Keen shoes and boots and just expect I got a pair that had a "Fluke" issue. REI exchanged with no issues at all. Thanks, REI!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keen Rocks! The non waterproof classification is misleading. I've used them for days outside in the rain and I've never had wet feet. I haven't stepped into a river, but for rain and puddles, even while hiking on dirt, these boots are great. I've had several older versions of the same boots (since 2010) and they've always been as great as these 2013 model.
