After 3 months, the lace eyelets ripped, the sole was peeling off, and it had holes in the toe, from just normal kid wear. Similar Teva shoes we bought for our other kid at the same time have held up much better.

I have bought several pairs of these for my son and daughter throughout the years. They are not extremely hard on shoes but we use them for hiking, backpacking, rock scrambling, and occasional school wear. I have had problems with the elastic laces wearing out but they are easy enough to replace. We try on several brands every year and these are always the most comfortable. I'm sure I will buy them again.

My son really likes these shoes. We are on our second pair. I have bought them every year for the last two years as his main shoe. We're looking at getting a third pair. They have served him well through 4th and now 5th grade. They appear to wear like any other active shoe. One pair a year for two years its hard to beat.
Dislikes: My son loved his first green pair but that color has been discontinued. Also the size 4's have standard lacing. My son prefered the toggle lacing on the size 3's and the round laces were dificult to keep tied. We switched the laces out for toggle laces and they've been great since. Detail paint on the side of the rubber sole stared wearing off after two weeks but its not a structural issue.

I bought these for my son five months ago and he wears them every day. He's an active 5 1/2 year old, walks to school every day and is usually hard on shoes. They've gone through the wash and are still doing great, but he's outgrown them. Some color on the sides wore off right away, but that didn't really bother me. I'm ordering a pair in the next size up today.

I bought three pairs of these for my three boys for back-to-school. They all liked them (which is amazing in itself) but two out of three have had problems with them. One had the rubber toe piece come up and is now flapping about. I bought Shoe Goo to glue it back. Then another one won't wear them any more because the laces won't stay tied. I have to go buy different laces that aren't as round and slippery. I'm not happy with that track record. No pun intended. I think I will stick to Nike or Adidas next go round.

I love the look of these shoes and my 5 year old thought they were comfortable, but the shoes are are just not made well. I noticed as soon as we got them home that the rubber stripping was peeling off the sides of the soles. My son loved the shoes and wanted to wear them to his first day of school the next day. He did and came home with shoes that looked a year old instead of a day old. Sadly we returned them and after reading the reviews I felt confident that another pair would do the same. It's a shame because they are nice shoes otherwise.

My son has been wearing his for a year and is very happy with them. They have worn well over the year. We did replace the laces after 3 months but the shoe has held up great. My son has worn them everyday, to school, camping, bike riding and hiking. I am planning on buying the same shoe in the next size up. Great bang for the dollar.

Bought this shoe for my boy. Fits nicely for his high arch and wide feet. But it's not durable. I know that boys wear out their shoes fast, but within a week? The pull lace was great, no friction or snags. But the thing broke. Luckily they provided old fashioned regular laces. The synthetic leather frayed and glue for front tip came undone for both shoes.

These shoes have NOT held up well. I understand that our 4 year old boy wears them but they should not wear out in less than 2 months. The laces broke within a week and the tongue and upper parts of the shoe look like they've been through the war. I'm very disappointed with these shoes and feel like they should have been made much better for the price!

I have purchased these shoes for my son three times, all varying sizes and am about to purchase another pair. I did not find the shoe to wear however my son is not hard on shoes. He does have flat feet & a wide width but I have made an exception for this particular shoe instead of buying a wide width. It gives him the proper arch support and he doesn't trip and fall in them like "skater" type shoes. They are perfect for school and everyday use including our long hikes. I LOVE this shoe and will continue to purchase it over and over. I haven't had any problems with the laces fraying. Our son is almost 7 yrs old.
